Note: Title changed from "TomVH, Does LB Curtis Grant has Michigan as his leader?" due to grammer police intervention.

This is from the Bleacher Report so take it for what it is worth.

“I have had a chance to speak with [Michigan] coaches Robinson and Braithwaite. I like both coaches, they are good guys. Michigan is losing their middle linebacker so I am keeping an eye on that," Grant said.

I'm being homeriffic here, but I think UVA can overcome OSU.  I don't know if we can beat Florida, but I think we can beat OSU.  Right now they handicap this one as UF, OSU, UVA, but I think in the end if it's not Florida, it's UVA.  I don't have much reason for saying that, other than that CG can't seem to stop hanging out in Charlottesville and UVA keeps reeling in verbals from this one group of guys that are always hanging out together.

I'll say they don't have a chance. I've lived in VA for 25 years, Richmond for 13.  There are about 0 top recruits in the state that go to UVA.  VT has more recognition and more influence with high school coaches.  And considering the high school he goes too, he isn't going to UVA no matter what he thinks of London.  VT has an amazing stadium feel, UVA lacks the campus sex appeal.  If he stays in state, he'll go to VT.

The most recent one regarding his recruitment is from GBW and isn't totally depressing.

“I have spoken with the coaches from Michigan, LSU, North Carolina and Florida as well as others. I have no favorites. I am just going to take things easy and get a feel of what’s going on until my football season is over, and then jump into it at that time."

The article I read is from yesterday and basically says he's not "feeling them now" ("them" being Michigan).  The article above is from November 16th.

Edit:  The interview was actually done by Mike Farrell on Rivals, not Scout.

This weekend, his team (Hermitage) plays Bayside (Home of VA CB Demetrious Nicholson) in Scott Stadium (UVA) for the state title. He won't be as focused on recruiting until afterwards.

I'm happy, but I could see michigan getting him just because were Michigan and if we say the right things we can get anybody and we don't have fight the cold factor with him As well

but we will find out in due time if he is considering Michigan especially if he does visit in January. It would obviously be a huge get for RR and Michigan. We could use a LB like him.

Michigan needs depth at LB. We already have commitments from Kinard (if he qualifies) and Kellen Jones. Seems like they are looking for at least two more in Lamar Dawson, Branden Jackson, Desmond Morgan, Curtis Grant, LaQuentin Smith, or Kris Frost. I agree with you about our chances with Kris and Desmond but would be pleasantly surprised to land Lamar or Curtis.

I don't think we're going to take 4 linebackers.

Kinard hasn't even been offered by Michigan for the Class of 2011.  He's essentially a backup plan to a couple of those other guys you mentioned.  If Kris Frost were to come aboard (who is a weakside linebacker type), then the addition of Kinard (who was told he'd be a weakside linebacker) would be redundant.  The coaches are dragging their feet on offering Antonio, because they know he'll commit and they have other guys in mind.

They might take two more linebackers (for a total of three), but not three more.

Yes.  Official offers are pretty much only good for one recruiting cycle.  The following year, most schools re-evaluate prospects and needs.  So while Conway intends to make it to Michigan next year, it's entirely possible that if a better high school recruit comes along (with 4 years of eligibility remaining, as opposed to Conway's 3), then Michigan's coaches wouldn't take Conway.
