Already the longest save streak in baseball history by a non-steroid pitcher (Gagne).
Papa Grande just runs on enchiladas and tall boy beers.

Love seeing the yanks out in the first round, and love seeing the Tigers win, but they are only my second team...gotta cheer for Texas from here on out.
GO RANGERS!!!!

I don't know if Jesus Montero was on the playoff roster, but I was scared Girardi would pinch hit him for Russ Martin. Thankfully that didn't happen cuz that kid can swing.

He was 2-2 with an RBI and a run scored in the series, He pinch hit for Posada in game 4.
I was worried about that as well.

The rule is "No OT during football season." It's Brian's rule, and we're kinda playing in his sandbox. There's plenty of good stuff that just doesn't get discussed this time of year because the board borders on Mos Eisley this time of year without random stuff.
That rule is generally ignored for Tigers games because, shit man, Tigers. But it does means that we're gonna try to consolidate stuff when possible, so if there's already one thread in which "PAPA GRANDE WOOOOOOOO" would be acceptable, we're gonna leave it at that. This can stay, I guess... but in the future we're gonna leave it at the standard "one Tigers thread at a time" mark.

I have to congratulate all the Tigers fans on here. I have to say as a Yankees fan that if we have to lose, losing to Leyland takes the sting out of it a little. I appreciate his honesty and passion for baseball. I'll be rooting for you guys against the Rangers.
