Finally, over on TBS, Boston leads the Indians, 1-0, in the bottom of 2nd on the strength of a HanRam RBI double.

He doesn't know. He'll say something idiotic along the lines of "Scandinavian countries" where people pay 40-60% tax and whose policies would never work in a country as large as the US, or some stupid ancient civilization where everyone died by the age of 37.

America has its flaws, no doubt, but there is no place like USA to live and raise a family.

Jesus. You're gonna be in debt for most of your life. Cars, mortgage, kids, kids cars and college.

Life is 0.1% about money and 99.9% about living life. Can't take $$$ with you when you die, but you sure as hell can leave a legacy with kids, grand kids, great grand kids etc.

I feel bad for you if money is your deciding factor on what constitutes a good place to raise a family.

have you ever been to New Zealand?  New Zealand is pretty nice.   Except they have a lot of regulations on fishing, which bums me out because I love to fish.   And their food sucks.   And it's like impossible to get WiFi.

My point is that nothing is good enough for me and I'm a stupid spoiled 20-something brat.  And the best part is there doesn't even need to be a /s after that :D

has my number, because I don't really know.  I just think the bravado of "we are the greatest there ever was and ever will be on the planet !!"  is just kind of silly.  Only in America is our flag all over the place and we proclaim how awesome we are 24/7.

I had a friend from Spain visit once and he was like Hey is there a reason the American flag is on like every block?  Just seems weird that we're obsessed with and love a symbol, yet get so bent out of shape when people utilize the freedoms etc. that our flag represents.

I mean I really love the USA.  I can't really imagine being anywhere else other than here.  But the constant drumbeat of WE'RE NUMBER ONE seems childish or something to me.  Especially because in so many areas we are veeeeery not number one.

Anyway. Go USA, live ya life, do you, don't hurt others, be kind, and always Go Blue.

If it's that meaningful to said people, then they'd understand that the soldiers who fought for that flag did so to ensure that people have a right to excersize those exact liberties. Especially if they feel those liberties aren't being protected at the same level as everyone elses. You can say that the platform might not be the best, or there's other ways to go about it, but to suggest that they should stop by boycotting would be the most un-American thing someone could do. Bad night for college football. Usually the Thursday games are pretty good but this game on ESPN is boring.

Glad to be back home and able to watch football on TV!  I'll take a boring CFB over no CFB anyday!  And I don't think this game is that bad.

Clemson vs Boston College should be interesting only from the aspect of how BC's defense will fair against Clemson.  Sort of a mini preview of what we could expect if we face those guys.  I don't think BC  changed up their schemes too much since Brown's departure?

I am in Boston and apparently staying in the same hotel as Clemson. Gonna drink scotch (14 year Oban) and make noise in the hallways hoping for a BC upset.

If BC wins, you're welcome. Can't wait to get home to the greatest place on the planet Earth, the great state of Michigan.

Speaking of the Blue Jays (by the way) I was in Toronto today you would not believe how bad the traffic is in that town.  I don't know how anyone can live there it is a nightmare getting around.
