Well, Massey and TeamRankings have Arizona winning this one rather comfortably - in particular, Massey is going with a 77% win probability for the Wildcats and a median projected score of 31-21.
Massey has tonight's Seattle-Green Bay game not going the way of the Packers - 89% estimated win probability for Seattle and a median score in simulations of 30-14.

I believe that's the $ucks, notre stain and now dickrod in last 24 hours. Sad that I have to hang out at Eleven Warriors to avoid mouth breathers these days.

You have no idea how much the next 3 years of that rivalry is going to suck for you

You mean 5 years.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:58 PM ^
I hope I mean 5 years (6 years?)
Frankly, I started watching in 2006. It's been a rough stretch for ND since then...
2006 - sucked so much
2007 - sucked
2008 - W
2009 - sucked so much
2010 - I thought it couldn't suck more than last year
2011 - i want to die
2012 - W
2013 - just normal suck
Seems like odds are good it will suck again for them this year

I'm sitting in my Tucson living room watching this game. I'm no more than 5 miles from the University of Arizona. The game, of course, is in San Antonio.
UTSA better do a better job of tackling or this is going to be a long night for them.

Well, that was a fast score for Arizona and looked oddly familiar. Explosive offense, quick scoring. Let's see how their defense is. I'm guessing it will suck this season, but this is UTSA, so they will likely look good tonight.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:20 PM ^
I think RR has a pretty competant DC this year who is familiar with the defensive scheme that they are running. Their defense won't be terrible... but terrible may be a relative term.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:27 PM ^
Well that was a fun start up there!
I'm actually looking forward to some NFL football tonight. That's a rare thing to say these days, personally, but I'm ready to see some football. I'll peep Arizona a bit too, see what 2014 beholds for RichRod.

Leaving a TE all alone on the 5 yard line does not seem like a particularly wise strategy to me.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:47 PM ^
Weird....watching RR's offense it seems like a stone age spread offenes compared to what you see at Auburn/A&M.
Still works but just looks like it is way to basic compared to some offenses of today.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:54 PM ^
That may explain the simplicity of the offense.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:57 PM ^
Possibly...but really looks no different than what I saw in AA for 3 yrs.
September 4th, 2014 at 8:59 PM ^
Simple or not it works.
September 4th, 2014 at 9:16 PM ^
>> Simple or not it works.
That 780 was against UNLV, which is hardly in the league of Oregon, USC, UCLA, or Arizona State.
>> (JT4104) "it seems like a stone age spread offense compared to what you see at Auburn/A&M."
I'm thinking something similar. This season and the next few will tell the story, but my sense is RR's offense was revolutionary in its day, but defenses have caught up. Other offenses are leading edge now. I'm not smart enough in football X's and O's to explain why, however.
September 4th, 2014 at 9:21 PM ^
UNLV is a FBS school with recruited athletes. 780 is impressive.

Not saying that they don't suck, but I think worst team in FBS may be a little bit of a stretch. UNLV did go 7-6 and make a bowl last season and some decent pieces.
