Iowa unfortunately is about to get run out of the gym I think. Poor defense going to show up hard against Tennessee who wants to push tempo and they're more or less scoring at will.
These posts are not aging well.

Iowa already looks exhausted
March 24th, 2019 at 12:39 PM ^
They don't look exhausted, they look like they don't care. Zero hustle.
March 24th, 2019 at 12:42 PM ^
Oh they look like they care...they just look like they belong in the D-III tournament, not here on this stage. Team quality difference here is glaring.

Iowa's athleticism is mindblowing.

Iowa with their size is giving up so many OReb to Tennessee, the last thing they can do when their defense sucks and they aren't matching the scoring.
March 24th, 2019 at 12:44 PM ^
Well that escalated quickly.

This has to be Iowa’s MO every year. Play well early on and in the middle of the regular season, flame out towards the end of the season, and then an unceremonious early exit from the tournament.

Pretty much but I don't think any of the country, including Hawkeye nation, saw the 1st Rd. Cincy win coming. Credit to that I suppose.

iowa's size is irrelevant when they don't bother to block out for rebounds. TN must have a dozen 2nd chance points already.

I've got the Vols winning the whole thing so I'm glad they look much better than they did against Colgate. Iowa has zero chance

Last night and so far today the top teams are really separating themselves from the pack; lots of blowouts.
Should make for some exciting games when the big boys start facing each other

Yeah. Not a ton of close games.
the way LSU/Maryland and Wofford/Kentucky went, I was hoping it’d be a really good day of hoops... Other than the Michigan game, I rarely had to pay attention to any of the other games after the first tv timeout.
This. Listened to music and played cards the rest of the night with the games on the TV (muted) in the background.

Not sure how we didn't get an eruption of Mt. McCaffrey after that last call.
One reason I will probably never get into bball nearly as much as football or hockey is that the officiating seems to be so ridiculously inconsistent. I understand that 1) it's hard to do right and 2) the rules are such that you can probably call a foul on every possession, but just stick with one standard.
Man Iowa killing themselves. 3 missed layups, 4 missed fts- 2 on the front end- all in the last 4 minutes of the half. getting blown out
I hate Tennessee. A bunch of cocky punk ass bitches that haven’t won a damn thing.
Many bitter old farts said that about the Fab Five.
Yeah I can imagine. But atleast the Fab Five was unique and ahead of their time, Tennessee isn’t easy to root for.
I hope not, but all of today's games could well be blowouts.
Bad Iowa showed up today. Totally different team from the one we visited at Carver Hawkeye.
I find the commercials intolerable, both the frequency and redundancy. Just ruins it. I try to record and FF through them, but I like to flip channels as well. It's hopeless.
At least Iowa got it under 10 for a moment. Playing much harder this half.
What got into Tyler Cook. He's bringing Iowa back by himself
He often does!
Double post!
Iowa making a run prior to three straight bs calls for TN
Refs trying to reign this back on for Tennessee. Fucking cripes
Wieskamp is a baller
Holy crap, Iowa within 5 - great comeback!
And right on cue....the refs call a "foul" 20 feet from the play against Iowa.
Iowa. Holy shit.
heart beat detected in iowa starting 5. maybe a game now?
Wow, this game looked like a complete mismatch, TN was humiliating Iowa.
Suddenly a complete turnaround - Iowa taking it right to TN, and TN's body language looks awful.
Basketball is crazy, man.
Man Iowa can really score -- they just need to play a little bit of D down the stretch. The issue is that Williams/Schofield are going to be shooting about 20 free throws before the game ends
Yeah, except Schofield has 4 fouls
...and here I was, thinking Iowa was toast.
They were down 25! Amazing turn of events. Unfortunately they missed some great chances there - letting TN get some space again
You weren’t alone.
Should of been Williams 4th not called. Followed by bullshit block on perfect d. Iowa getting screwed by the refs
You think the ref$ would call b$ call$ in favor of the $ec? $hocking!
Tell us how you really feel
I can't put a bunch of cuss words on here or I would
It gets to a point that refs have to stop calling one sided. I think we are about there.
Iowa with life
Refs seem fine in this game
This is an epic shitting of the bed by Tennessee
Super Epic Chokers
