I don't know if this is a good or bad sign, but best of luck to him. I think he's got a shot at battling with Gradkowski for backup to Big Ben. I was picturing he could be pretty versatile at receiver for them and maybe make some magic like Randle El did ten years ago. Hopefully he can beat out Landry Jones and make the squad.
Yes, Gardner got a BA in Afro-American and African Studies in 2013 and a Master of Social Work in 2015.
Hope he likes being poor.
My mother has an MSW from Michigan. She is definitely not poor.
Thanks for sharing that.
Just helping you realize that your post was completely idiotic.
How "not poor" is she? I'd like numbers and statistics...
Yeah, no. MSW is far from a useless degree. In fact I know quite a few people who have cushy, well-paying jobs because of their MSW.
Exactly. My mother was a managing director at one of the largest health systems companies in the world when she retired. But hey, social workers are poor.
talking about your mother and not making what I thought was a completely innocuous joke.
Wtf has happened to people? Do we really need to be offended about goddamn everything?
Also, she's an outlier.

The median salary in the USA for an MSW is $59,000.
90% of 'em make less than $70,000.
NJow - that isn't poor... but it's pretty bad for a Masters Degree.
According to Monster an MSW is the second worst paying Masters after a Master's in Counseling, and is slighlty WORSE than a Masters in Music.
He's a great passer. I'm glad he'll get to focus on the QB position. I hated the year he wasn't playing QB. Best of luck DG!
After the 2013 Notre Dame game there were respectable pundits who were pegging Gardner as a first-round draft pick at QB. Obviously a lot has changed since then, but the point remains: Gardner has the physical makeup and (buried deep beneath layers of psychological anguish) the potential to make good decisions at the QB position. Who knows.
Devin played like a total beast, and we deserved to win it.
On the other hand, if that last play worked, Brady would probably still be coaching here.
Everything worked out the way it should have. Us landing Harbaugh and not having to suffer through more agony with Hoke is well worth it.
You know, you're probably right. If they would have converted that one play and won that game, I bet Brady's leash is long enough to get him through this past season. Pretty wild how one little play by some kids can cause such a sea change.

And Batch was the #2 guy in Pittsburgh for years.
he will be cut again.
...that's still a pretty nice career to have. Ask Todd Collins.
That TD play in the Ford Field super bowl was from one to another: Randle El (Indiana QB/NFL WR) to Hines Ward (Georgia QB/NFL WR). Having a versatile WR/QB saves a roster spot for an emergency/3rd QB and gives you a throwy catchy tricky fakey type guy.
Good for him. Still believe he has the tools to be a decent NFL player, and if Tebow could lead a team as a QB, no reason Devin couldn't.
Devin has ... more INT's than TD's as a QB, an Outback and BWW Bowl loss, and another season where M didn't make a bowl. There's really no comparison between Tebow and Gardner other than our 2013 preseason hype of what we thought Gardner would be.
In my opinion, when Gardner was at his best, he looked as good a QB as Tebow. We've seen what Meyer's offenses do for his QB, and even in college people said Tebow seemed like a system guy. An incredibly productive system guy, but still a major benefactor of a good offense. And not to crap on the Heisman trophy, but there are a slew of guys who won the award and couldn't hold up in the pros. So I don't read as much into that as maybe it meant 20+ years ago.
Gardner was the #5 ranked QB in the freaking nation coming out of high school. Did you ever think two position changes and 5 coaches had something to do with lack of development at the next level?
Jerame Tuman, #84, is the man blocking that Seattle defender that allowed Randle El to make the pass.
He might have a chance to be Big Ben's backup. We've all seen how good he could be when he's on his game.
