Like everyone else, I appreciate Romero's accomplishments, but it seems to me that her playoff achievements are not so great. Wonder if WD has her playoff info in his database.

killer in the season,but could never put it together in the ws
They just showed the stats. In her career WCWS appearances (don't know if we were in the WCWS all four years), Romero's batting average is .233 and she has 2 HR.
She's done great in her regional and super regionals which are against good teams.

like her freshman sister last night?
With today's performance, Romero ended her WCWS carrer with a batting average of about .230.
lets see if we can do the same on defense

Sorry I'm a little late here - Windows jammed the Windows 10 update down my throat & it's made everything go slow for the last little while. Slow start here so far, let's see if the O can find its way sooner than the last couple games.

Blanco with a great at bat to work the walk. Spoiled junk pitch after junk pitch, and laid off the balls. That's what we need to get something started. 1 on, 1 out.
Aidan Falk continues her mini hot streak at the plate, and it's 2 on, 1 out. Nice hit, didn't do too much, just found some green.

Monte down on strikes. One more chance to make something out of this inning.
because umps are uniformly bad

Another K ends the threat. Couple nice at bats, but no joy. Scoreless heading to the bottom 2.
00 = 0 Michigan
0- = 0 FSU
Two left on base.....again.
This right here is going to be the death of us if it comes to that point.
Based on the ESPN graphic the Umps aren't calling the low strike (per graphic) but are calling outside & inside pitches (per graphic) strikes.We struck out twice swinging at low pitches.
Immediately obvious that we have a better umpire today. I'm sure I'll find some things to disagree with during the day, but at least there is some level of sanity.
Lead-off batter battles Betsa hard, but ends up popping out to Ramirez, who fielded a drifting ball nicely. 1 away.
High gas gets FSU swinging! The big K makes it 2 out with no one on.
they will call a curve ball that starts out and comes in by the time it gets to the glove. but they won't call a sliding ball that stays in the outside of the plate but is outside once it gets to the glove.
00 = 0 Michigan
00 = 0 FSU
Ground out scooped by Ramirez, and Betsa has looked good after the one walk back in the 1st. 9-1-2 coming up in the T3 with a chance to grab a lead.
