So, who all jumped right back into...

their Michigan gear today?  Despite us having BB studs doing great things, I caught hell at work. Of course, I live in Ohio, so my plight was most likely worse than most.  Just a feel good post to hopefully feed the unity or comfort the disdain of the community.  Neg if you see fit.  Happy Monday

Time to move.

Toledo isn't terrible, as it's a mix of OSU and Michigan fans...and I like to remind the OSU fans that Toledo USED to be part of Michigan and that the two states once went to "War" over Toledo.

Since they are OSU fans, they don't know history and try to argue with me.

Dumbasses.

Wore a Michigan jacket today, and don't really care if I get crap for it. My identity as a person isn't determined by what 18-22 year old's do on any given Saturday, and I support them and their hard work no matter what.

I am not really all that down and it isn't apathy. For the first time in a long time I think the Michigan offense could be putting a monster together. Giles Jackson was the best freshman player in the B10- Mayfield was a stud at RT, Haskins/Zach looked great and Evans coming back is money, Bell and Mike S both balled out, Eric All jumped vets on the depth chart...If Cesar comes back I can name 4 guards that I think could have a great 2020... All comes down to Dylan or Joe running an offense they both have the skill set for and have been practicing since last spring.

The program is in good shape- the game vs OSU showed us how far we are from being in elite shape.

The defense also returns most players (including the entire DL) from a unit that was able to stifle most teams on our schedule. We need the young guys to grow up so we can stop the rest. Since MSU stinks and we have Wisco and PSU at home, I could absolutely see us being 11-0 heading into Columbus next season.

Agreed! There isn't one player loss that gives me even a little bit of anxiety. This is finally a deep roster (except at DT). We HAVE guys to replace who we are losing. We thought they were great when we recruited them, now we get to see them play.

Like every year, I predict we will be playing for the Big 10 (east) title on the last Saturday in November.

I don't think we have another Nico at WR but I think Giles could be just as good in our system. Evans and Blake Corum could be lethal additions with their play style. Eubanks was an afterthought who could blow up in his 5th year on campus.

We got two QBs that can run the RPO system with more success in the QB run aspect IMO.

Wore it all weekend.   Got a few comments, mostly "tough game" from psu fans.  there was the couple ohio state fans running their shit spreaders.  I just replied, yeah, there probably a reason you were ranked #1 and we were #13.

I wore my Michigan stuff to Meijer yesterday (or Meijer's for you Midwestern folks).

A guy and presumably his wife thought it would be "cool" to mess with me in front of their kids.

From my reaction, and probably my size (6'4" 270 lbs) as I stepped into his bubble with a big giant grin and asked him "what did you say?", he quickly retreated back into Mouthbreather status and went silent - subtly guiding his wife away.

Great example for your kids, cooler poopers.

Was walking from a beach down south to my car in a parking lot with only a handful of other cars in it, wearing M stuff, when an OSU fan going the other way says "Michigan sucks, Go Bucks!"  In return, I said, "I'm guessing your car is the unguarded one over there with the Ohio plates."  He stopped and turned around and sat there and watched his car for the 10 or so minutes I was packing up.  I had no intention of doing anything to his car, but he didn't know that.

I'm 6'5" and 230, so I don't hear too much either.  Usually its something under their breath after I've passed.  A few years ago, a guy sent his kid over to troll me.  I told the kid, probably 11-12, go tell your dad he must have a real small dick to send his son over instead of him.  The kid went back and I could see his dad's face turn beet red, excuse me, scarlet.  I just waved my pinky at him.

Today, I was waiting in line for lunch and some dude and his wife saw my work badge has an M on it.  He asked if I still liked Harbaugh.  I nodded and turned away.  He kept going though, "We love him in Ohio!  He should coach forever!"  He kept yukking it up with her, so I turned and said, "I do love Harbaugh.  Probably as much as you love your ugly woman."

I stood there and gave him a look like, are you going to do something to defend her?  She hissed, "Fuck You!" and drug him off.

Dude in front of me turned around and said, "I'm a Buckeye, but that was awesome."

Free speech is a bitch.

Good on you.  I'm sure that dude's father will impress upon him the importance of sticking up for one's siblings.

Don't wear any gear to work, but I wouldn't have issue doing so even after Saturday.  I'm a glass half full kinda person and think we're not as far away from our goals as most would say here.

Basketball is in good shape, football is better than the previous regime, just need to get over the hurdle one or another.

If others want to live in the BPONE, fine, but I think big things are in our future as long the leaders on the team step up to the challenge

Of course. I'm disappointed in what happened but I'll forever be a fan of my University.

I'm also in Ohio. It is a little annoying when you try to talk to them about the game and what actually happened and they just seem to have no idea outside of "we killed you guys!" Smh

That is the same mindless shit I get out of them as well.  These guys dont just hate our athletics. They openly hate the state of Michigan, period.  I jokingly told a guy I would arrange to have him buried on Michigan soil at his time of death, and he literally lost his mind.  His replies were so energized with anger that he became incoherent.

The presence of some mouth-breathers is not going to deter me from wearing any Michigan gear.  My work teammate is a big Buckeye fan and rather than get upset I just said his paid players deserve a raise.

I live in Lansing and wear mine all the time. I don't get too much harassment these days but it used to be bad.

I live in dayton, and I was back in my michigan fleece saturday night.  No comments from any cooler poopers, bUT another Michigan fan mentioned what a sad day it was for us michigan fans.

People don't talk trash to me much, as I never do in return.  But on those occasions when someone has, I've gone with the Onion angle:

"Yeah, the sports team you cheer for beat the sports team I cheer for.  Good job man!"   And that's the end of it.

Sports fan trash talk is the height of absurdity.  We beat our chests over something we had absolutely nothing to do with.

I live in Columbus and have been in UM gear since the game. I couldn’t possibly give two shits and I encourage the confrontation (to be clear I’m not a jerk or loudmouth and NEVER start any trash talking).

I know a Buckeye who wanted to bet on the game so I proposed him this:

If Michigan won, he had to shit in my toilet.

If OSU won, I had to shit in his cooler.

He really thought about it for like 3 minutes before concluding this was a bad deal.

I wore my Michigan jacket today with pride.  Then again, I live in Durham, home of the Duke Blue Devils, so I got more congrats and high fives than anything else.  Basketball is king here.

I never jumped out of it. I threw my hat a few times during the game, but my hat has been thrown many times. Still rep Michigan all day every day in the heart of Husker country. These poor bastards got it bad!
