So I can't help laughing at Sparty
Did they get the short end of the stick or what? Their cross rival is IU and their 2011 schedule is Brutal.
10/1: @OSU
10/8: Bye
10/15: Mich
10/22: Wisc
10/29: @Neb
11/5: Minn
11/12: @Iowa
11/19: IU
11/26: @NU
Oh and they play notre dame 2 weeks before OSU. Sucks to be out of title contention before november.

Indiana's pistol isn't a spread. Really, it's not. They keep everything in tight except for their two wideouts which is like...a pro set formation (I-form, split backs, etc.). Again, they have the spread in their playbook, but it's not their base offense.
I never said DiNardo was right. I'm saying he's not a complete assclown (like someone stated above). Many of you MGoBloggers think everyone's retarded who doesn't get things 100% right every time. I'm simply saying that the true answer lies somewhere between DiNardo ("Two teams run the spread") and Other People (who think about 10 teams run it).

Point is that there are a minimum of 5-6 teams that run the spread at least half the time, and even more teams that run a variation of the spread at points in every game. So to say there are only 2 spread teams, to me, is as assinine as the ESPN guys saying the QB battle is between Tate, freshman QB Denard Robinson, and Nick Sheridan. It is people not doing their homework. They are paid to give the viewers correct information, and if they are not doing that then what is the point of putting them on TV?

I mark this thread for a longer more sarcastic poke and response on the evening of October 9. It is a game we simply must win.
After that, count me in. 2 losses in a row equals domination in the Sparty fan's warped view. But I am here to tell you, you can't talk to him/her until you put an end to it.
There isn't any interest in talking long term on anything.

The post of the day. We all need to read it and think about it.

What we become? We could be undefeated and going to the National Championship and I'd still be laughing any time I saw "Sparty, No!"

Let's beat them this season before we start in with LOLSPARTY regarding their 2011 schedule.

I eat a big bowl of LOL-Sparty-O's in the morning for breakfast every morning.
Don't kill my sugar buzz with logic and sound reason.

no kidding...and I seem to remember a certain loss to Toledo Sparty can throw right back at us w/ this "annual MAC loss" crap.
Lets win some games before running our mouths.

We've lost to a MAC team once in our history. I'm not sure how that makes for an "annual loss."

Pretty sure most MSU fans are happy with the way the divisions shook out...IU is as close to an automatic win as you can get in the Big Ten. The conference schedule is pretty brutal the next couple years with OSU and WI, but that's just the luck of the draw, it's going to be much easier after those two are off the schedule.

Hard for me to laugh. We first need to beat them again. Don't find too much funny these days when it comes to other teams. I know we got zero respect on BTN last night. Sparty got lots of DiNardo love. Pissed me off to be honest. We are relegated to NW, Minn and the like status. This shit has got to change. I hope the team feels just as direspected and we play with something to prove. Because we do have something to prove. Bring on friggin UCONN.
