SIAP: Saban on troubles handling Michigan NOT being no-huddle
Saban was very respectful of Michigan players and coaches overall.
Sorry about the X link, maybe someone can post another source.
Something I haven't read here, but may have missed, is Saban saying M was the first team they played all year that huddled, and that caused them problems because it shortened the time their defense could respond to the Michigan formation. I assume he knows what he's talking about?

That is a persnickety concern, that Michigan huddled, given that Michigan ran a lot of their key plays that were out of one base offense but had a wrinkle. If Bama were trying to adjust to the formation that would many times play into Michigan’s hand. The truth is this was a close game that came down to a handful of plays Michigan guys made. Much like the Ohio game.

That's the first time I've ever heard anything like that, and it makes a lot of sense. There's a reason why he has had the success that he's had.

"We’re boycotting Twitter now? What for?"
I'm not personally, but from what I've seen it's a thing. So I was trying to take the path of least resistance. Someone else can answer your "What for?" question, which I cannot.

Sounds like virtue signaling to me.
Other than one crazy Karen my wife hangs out with I don’t know anyone boycotting X

Too much free speech.

Remember all the outrage over Michigan's snap count and tempo earlier in the season from all the Madden kids? Turns out this Harbaugh guy might know a few things about this game.

Sounds like an obvious "intent to deceive" situation by Harbaugh here. 15 yard penalty.

Finebaum will write an article that Michigan should have been penalized 15 yards on every play for “huddling” and intending to deceive.

Saban when Michigan huddles

This is funny and all but it’s genuinely remarkable how so many of the innovations of the last 15-20 years that we longed to see—no huddle and tempo, predominantly gun formation play calling, gun run schemes—have become so normal that the old stuff has become a serious problem. Even for Saban teams.
There was some thought when Harbaugh first started here that his older-fashioned inclinations with fullbacks and run schemes might be an advantage in the new era, and while it took longer than thought and doesn’t exactly look the way we expected, that was correct.

Matt Rhule has to understand that the world needs Nebraska running the triple option out of the I-formation.

Wishbone?

Wait. Michigan has plays with two tight ends. That’s a line with seven players in front of the QB / RB.
How can a team stop that with four (4) DL?
Oh the humanity.
I had no idea Harbaugh and Michigan were trying to confuse our opponents.

Shocked, shocked I tell you!

Huddling? Explosive plays from under center? Harbaugh is an innovator!

Stealing signs AND huddling?
Man Michigan is out of control!

So Saban didn’t make 100 different excuses and blame some fanatic? When we knew Milroe was running that wasn’t Connor Stallions? If we win Monday, OSU fans will hock many a mobile homes to fund T dawgs and Brohios search for the truth. Spartys thread will reach 4 million views and the earth will spin off its axis for both programs. Please let us win in a blowout fashion. I’m not what you’d call a religious man, but had no problems monday asking for a little help and will do the same again Monday night….go blue baby!
