SI Column on Impact of Ban
plus one for use of "ham-fisted" in headline
plus 1 for bluntly calling them stupid:
"Maybe they simply weren’t very bright. "
Fucking wanker flopping around whatever way the wind wants to blow. So SEC.
People should saying wanker more often. Its quite descriptive.
I admit to it being inspired by The Nasty Bits on Vinyl....
He's quite a tosser too...
He's such a bell end.
Plonker thinks he's the dog's bollocks but he can sod off.
Hugh Freeze is a barmy arsehole surrounded by pikey plonkers.
Depends on what Saban wants. His word is god to the ncaa.

This seems to be the strategy that's being formulated.
The NCAA and coaches/conferences that voted against satellite camps can pretend they care about student-athletes, and still keep BIG schools out of their backyard - and make sure Harbaugh doesn't get his way.
We'll be fine either way. I just hate the hypocrisy.
Translation: We're stupid and cant read. Now that the smart kids in school (B1G) explained it to us we realize we need this.
Did anyone actually read the article? He only wants the camps to be allowed for non power-5 schools.
Of course. Non-power 5 coaches put in the work at the camp while Freeze fishes and lets the bagman do his work for him. It's not surprising. It's also not surprising that in their fervor to kill satelitte camps the SEC never once thought there may be unintended consequences for themselves. Now the backtracking and lobbying will happen for the SEC to make this ruling end up even more in their favor. Fuck them, and fuck Freeze.
Freeze now wants only Power 5 schools banned from satellite camps which means he remains lazy. He worries about Michigan coming into Ole Miss' territory, but has no concern about inviting Arkansas State into Southern MIss or Alcorn State's territory. Still sounds like pure selfish laziness
I like how the SEC/ACC got raged at Michigan thinking that this will hurt them (rather than the kids/small schools). Michigan will always have an almost unlimited travel budget to send its recruiters all over the place. If I recally correctly, a few of the players offered at these camps last year never ended up matriculating in Michigan's class. IMHO the camps were about talent evaluation, but more so to get publicity/further name recognition down there.
I don't want to hear it from the King of Bag Men.
It makes a liar out of Hugh Freeze. Hypocritical to say the least.

Australians use 'wanker' and 'tosser' in their vocabulary too.
Weird that Hugh Freeze would be searching his own name on Twitter and also isn't smart enough to figure out he's conversing with an automated feed.
Not sure what you mean by weird, but neither of those things shocks me.
Harbaugh has already won this battle. I think the petition by DPJ's mom is starting to make a difference. It's got over 8,000 signatures in less than a day. If anyone didn't sign it yet.... https://www.change.org/p/mark-emmert-memmert-ncaa-org-overturn-ncaa-ban-on-satellite-camps

"U of M Tuscaloosa". Suck it Saban.
John and Jack Harbaugh through a camp and Jim just happened to stop by. Would they say it was illegal to visit family members?
NCAA = fucking idiots
Hopefully they will get theirs soon.

Know the difference between through and throw.

Group of Five assistants could file an antitrust suit against the NCAA, the SEC, the ACC and all the other leagues that voted for the ban. Because lower-level coaches are paid to work the camps, they could claim these entities colluded to take away an opportunity for them to earn money that the entities would have paid to them without the ban.
You know, if it came to this, I would fully support the effort quite honestly. If the conferences that voted against it need to have their trees shaken to the point where they say "enough" through lawsuits, I am fine with that. I would love to see the Board Of Directors overturn it and everyone just move onwards, but that may be asking too much in the short term.
