Semi-OT: Michigan Basketball shoes
Does anyone have any idea where you can buy Michigan basketball shoes? Adidas is not helping. Anything like these works:
OR
OR EVEN:
Wolverine Devotee- I'm counting on you!

I've seen them on east bay before.

I think they store them in an unmarked trash can outside of Fisher, where they belong! Where could you even wear those?

while playing basketball...because they are basketball shoes...
January 25th, 2015 at 11:37 AM ^
That's what you do with those things? Man I never would've guessed.

Nope, these would be solely (no pun intended) for michigan gear. Have my lebropn 11's for basketball.
January 25th, 2015 at 11:45 AM ^
I don't like Lebrons for basketball. They are too heavy.

Lol I couldn't do that. I don't change for every sporting event. Just think the shoes would be a nice touch. Plus here in Nebraska it's all Husker Town. Can't find any michigan colored shoes and barely any gear.

a spot-on riposte like this!
January 25th, 2015 at 11:38 AM ^
With you know, Michigan gear, like grey shorts, those shoes, navy shirt. They'd look good with jeans too. Learn some fashion.
January 25th, 2015 at 11:47 AM ^
I can think of no reason why anyone should wear those shoes outside a basketball court.
Then again, I don't know why anyone would wear those hideous shoes on a basketball court, either, but that's just me.

the middle ones look nice to me, and the bottom ones are pretty wearable as semi-everyday sneakers.

great, more hate on all things uniformz/adidas.

Sigh... give our Maize back
January 25th, 2015 at 11:49 AM ^
It is still maize to us, regardless what Nike says.

Even being a traditionalist I'd rather have highlighter yellow than orange yellow anyday.
January 25th, 2015 at 2:32 PM ^
Same here. I always wonder if the "HILIGHTER YELLOW OUTRAGE" crowd is simply a vocal minority.
Definitely prefer the brighter yellow to the dull orange/gold. And, historically, the original "maize" was closer to what the current maize is than the 1990 "maize."

You can find the bottom ones (Adidas Crazyquick) on EBay for a good price.

Just be wary of fakes

I found some, in my size too. Look nice, probably will buy them. Thanks for the recomendation.

The OP's selection, but refrained from dogging on them. These however, are disgusting. I want to slap the designer and anyone who would wear them.
January 25th, 2015 at 1:45 PM ^
Foams are so nice, highly regarded among sneakerheads... You would have to slap me
:(

I am looking for the Maize and Blue shoes that Beilein had on during Gameday. I have been looking for them in a size 12 since I saw them on Wheatley in a photo at Cass Tech.

Middle ones are out of stock http://store.nba.com/catalog/product/adidas_adiZero_NBA_Crazy_Light_Sho… and the top I think are only for the team. Not sure about the last pair.
January 25th, 2015 at 11:57 AM ^
I want the want the ones the coaches were wearing last night. They looked like blue and yellow shell toes from my seat

Yes! Anybody know where to get those?
January 25th, 2015 at 12:18 PM ^
Could you find a pic? Would love to see what they look like! Thanks!
January 25th, 2015 at 1:51 PM ^
These.
They're the adidas Speed Trainers.
Available at East Bay. MDen website is sold out. If you call them, they will have them but EastBay is a very good place to buy from.
Have a pair and am planning on getting the Speed Trainer 2s that come out next year.
January 25th, 2015 at 2:25 PM ^
Of course they don't have these shoes in probably one of the sizes that most man fit in. 12in or even 12.5in
January 25th, 2015 at 11:27 PM ^
But no 12s. I just got a pair in the 12.5 so well see how they fit. I wear anywhere from a 11.5-12.5 depending on the brand.
January 25th, 2015 at 2:28 PM ^
Not a fan of those. A little
too plain.

Do you know where the long sleeve shirts the coaches wore on the sideline can be found? The one with the state on the upper back and the star over AA. I've been looking all over for that.
January 25th, 2015 at 11:53 PM ^
Those were available for a short time after UTL III on MDen.
I scan of the website and an image search shows no results for it being for sale anymore. If you are really wanting it, give the main MDen on campus a call and they may have some since MDen has a TON of stuff at that store that they DON'T list on their site.

Living in Georgia hampers my efforts to get some of the stuff I want.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:01 PM ^
Good Lord those are hideous. I mean I love my team but I really, really hate those shoes.
I know it's terribly old-fashioned but I'll take simple white or black Nike's all day long please.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:59 PM ^
The black ones were awesome

At one point during the time Glen Rice was indeed at Michigan, I owned the ten-year old sized equivalent of those shoes - I sort of miss the style, to be honest. Still, I can't claim to have ever had quite that inside presence, the one where you appear to be sitting on the opposition as you go up for the shot.

I've seen them at Dicks and the Adidas outlets

They're cheap looking and ugly. To hell with Adidas. It literally prevents you from getting recruits. It's that bad...and before anyone bashes me...I could both high school football and basketball and Adidas is pretty awful in the minds of the majority of my guys as well. Switch back to Nike already and watch what happens.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars -- Memories of High School Hoops In The '60s.

stages of wear, in my closet, neatly lined up. I would clean the rubber with toothpaste and an old tooth brush.

Unfortunately, five more decades and some extra pounds have led me to discover New Balance.
Back in 1966, when I bought my first pair of low cut black Chuck Taylor All Stars, I think I was the first person in my high school to wear them. I suspect that lots of kids in the Boston area had been wearing them for many years before then.
