The O/U last week was 43 and I would have definitely taken the under there. The total ended up being 47.
That said, the under will probably be the correct call if Michigan can pull off the win.

When a game goes to OT, it is usually going over the total.

I agree, PSU is not a #2 team in the country, Barkley is the #2 team in the country. Slow down Barkley (because there is really no way to stop him) and they become an average team. Michigan by 3 and the under is my call.
I think Higdon was a 1 or 2 time guy, like evans was last year. Have to rely on all 4 of UM's backs (including Walker in that count) and our skill players on running plays and punt returns because they cant rely on a QB to get the ball to them.

1. It would have taken a whole lot of money movement for this to cross the 10 point barrier.
2. Most neutral people are betting this like it will be a PSU blowout, plus PSU isn't exactly a small fanbase themselves.
This looks like reverse line movement to me, which favors a closer game than the spread would otherwise indicate.

I would like to believe your last statement...hard to see Franklin looking past avenging 49-10 though...
October 17th, 2017 at 5:44 PM ^
Yeah but wouldn't be like the most Franklin thing ever to look past us and start working on OSU? Hard to imagine a coach of his stature doing so, but it is after all James Franklin.

They could be looking past us if the entire country has already given the win to PSU. I'm willing to believe that Franklin is just unskilled enough to not properly prepare his team for this game in terms of mindset and gameplan.

I would be surprised after the ass kicking we gave them last year if that was the case. They'll be ready.

I want the under and Michigan in this one, folks. But hey, I'm not a betting man.
October 17th, 2017 at 5:34 PM ^
I'll take the wolverines over the nittany lions. There is no biological basis for a "Nittany lion" and it's embarrassing because a wolverine would destroy a typical Pennsylvanian mountain lion as they are known for being soft and prey strictly on cubs. To call any of the seven hills surrounding "Happy" Valley "mountains" is also embarrassing. Plus way too many satellite campuses. Plus James Franklin. Plus their stadium looks like a 10 year old assembled an erector set football stadium from a southeast Asian knock-off brand with plastics guaranteed to cause cancer. White outs can't erase your history Jersey brosephs and sheep fuckers.

People making fun of the ghastly aesthetic of Beaver Stadium is like my bat signal. Shit looks like a toddler got frustrated with a K'nex set and just glued it all together.

has not lost a game by more than 4 points. I am certain that his defense will at least put us in a position where we can win the game. Whether we do or not is a different story.
I would take Michigan with 9.5 points.

He was at Boston College. lost 14-0 against Florida State, and hung in with Clemson when both games should have been blowouts. Even WD put up a Boston College Defense vs. FSU on youtube.

and Michigan has gone under 4 in a row, if one doesn't count overtime (the 7 OT points moved the U-M @ Indiana game from being an "under" to an "over").
PSU's 1 "over" was the 56-0 over Georgia State. O/U there was 54. So a garbage-time TD decided that one.
Take that FWIW, but I'm kind of surprised the over/under has actually gone up since its initial posting.

We also know John O'Korn can play lights out (Purdue) or deer in the headlights (MSU).
From observing certain things, you can see O'Korn has a somewhat fragile ego. Not ideal for a quarterback.
But he's no quitter. If he gets on a roll he has the skills to beat anyone in the B1G.

With our offense, and our defense, it will be five field goals and two safeties.

This is the same score I related in a different thread. Michigan scored one TD on defense, and four field goals with the last FG being the game winner as time expired.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to turn my flux capacitor off before she burns out.
