He looked good in limited use in their bowl game.

Plus the announcers made it sound like he should be the number one pick in the upcoming draft .

Now imagine the young man has a few hundred people,  at least , telling him the same thing.

Obvious things are obvious .

I think Gisicki and another top WR are gone next season which certainly helps.  Unfortunately they still have McSorley and other good weapons including the backup RB - he looked pretty good vs Washington. And obviously Moorehead is gone.  We'll see what their game planning looks like once there isn't a month to prepare.

I think we are in line for some Get Back against them next year.  Cant wait for that game.

I'm actually disappointed to hear Saquon is leaving. Sure, he's a threat to take over a game to make either of our teams potentially suffer a loss. But I'd rather he stay so that PSU is strong, making the B1G as a whole look that much better.

I would have been ecstatic if Higdon had a good enough season this year to declare early.

On that note, I have to believe that the only reason LJ Scott has decided that he is returning at MSU is that early returns were showing a marginal draft status between the fumbling and the less than stellar stats

Also, I don't know if RB is a pick you draft that high for unless that's the last piece to complete your offense.  The Colts and Browns have a lot of holes to fill and RB is not an immediate need with Crowell and Duke Johnson.

I could see the Giants taking him though.  OBJ, Barkley and Evan Engram make a pretty good trio for Eli.

Yeah, PSU is going to be back to 7-8 wins a year and ugly ass offense next year is my guess. I fully expect PSU fans to turn on Franklin by early October.

They ain't going nowhere.

They have OSU-like recruiting advantages in PA / NJ / MD / DC / N. VA.  We are starting to see it already.

Paterno had that program sleepwalking for years.  He would not even visit recruits.  Then came the sanctions.

But when they are not stepping on ther own dicks, they can be elite.

Most people on this board have no memory of a fully weaponized Penn State, but it's an impressive thing.
