The thought of Michigan going 0-for-5 against Maryland and Rutgers in basketball and football...

That Clemson team lost to Gardner Webb, Winthrop, and struggled with High Point. So I assume they're average at best.

Rutgers is a great Basketball team. Their Basketball team will probably end up being a bigger addition then the Football team.

No they aren't they're terrible. They haven't been to the postseason in like 10 years. Last year their last game of the year, they lost by 61 points....

Eddie Jordan was a good hire by them, but they have never had a good basketball program.

For those too young to remember, there was that one year (1976) when, in a 32-team field, both Michigan AND Rutgers made it to the NCAA Basketball Tournament Final Four. Rutgers, led by Consensus Second Team All-American Phil Sellers, Mike Dabney and their current coach, "Fast Eddie" Jordan, entered the Final Four as one of only two unbeaten teams in the country.
Michigan beat Rutgers in the semifinal game, 86-70, but lost in the finals to Bob Knight’s unbeaten Indiana Hoosiers, 86-68. It was the first time when two teams from the same conference met in the championship game. Rutgers lost to UCLA in the third place game, 102-92. (Yes, they used to play a "consolation game" to decide third place in the tournament.)
That Michigan team finished 25-7, was second to Indiana in the Big Ten and included Rickey Green, Phil Hubbard, John Robinson, Wayman Steve Grote, each of whom averaged over 10 points a game!

between conference foes in tournament history. It was only the second year more than one team per conference were eligible.

he doesn't have any Rutgers blogs listed along the left margin (his list of linked Big Ten Blogs).
In the meantime, maybe try googling "Rutgers Sports Blogs".

Solid one very solid. I'm behind enemy lines here so I can give everyone a first hand account of the glory of Rutgers.

It still sounds funny saying Rutgers & Maryland & Big Ten in the same sentence.

Maryland won this game despite being roundly outshot at a lot of junctures really, but Layman and Wells came up big for Maryland getting rebounds and really, the whole prospect of playing the Terps scares me a bit more than playing the Scarlet Knights right now, at least based on present performance.
