If anyone can find the video of him ripping MTV VJ Kennedy at the 1996 premiere of Mission: Impossible, that would be just great.
Martin Landau wasn't in the Six Million Dollar Man or the Bionic Woman. You're thinking of Richard Anderson who played Oscar Goldman.
Anderson, not Landau
Landau was Lyle Stenning the the TV movie "The Return of the Six-Million-Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman."
Crimes and Misdemeanors was magnificent. To me the apex of a great career.
In a movie full of great performances his work really stands out in that one. Terrific.
In 1955, only 2 young actors out of 2000 who auditioned were selected to join the Actor's Studio in NY: Martin Landau and Steve McQueen.
Yeah, sorry that was sarcasm. He had a long life and and amazingly prolific career.
He was still pretty active at the end, teaching acting classes and doing press and such.
Fact: 98% of humans will die at some point during their life spans.
Fantastic movie, he was also great in Rounders.
My go-to for Martin Landau is the cult sci-fi series Space:1999 from the late 70s. If you've never seen it, and you like a little camp with a porno-funk soundtrack, look it up. A lot of the episodes are on YouTube. Completely bonkers.
I hadn't remembered that show at all, but now that you mentioned it, it all flashed back.
Love Space: 1999 and his Commander Koenig character
some really esoteric episodes in there... Season one was particularly great...
My favorite Landau part however, has got to be North by Northwest...one of the all time movies imo
lol... yeah, its an amazingly crafted movie... though its funny to see it in the light of today's technology...
Cary Grant would have never been mistaken for the govt agent since, there would have been no page shouting his name in the hotel dining room: we all have cell phones!
but still the scene on Mt.Rushmore? chills
What if I were to tell you that you'd have a long, historic career, would that be something you might be interested in? RIP Martin Landau
That's the irst thing I thougth of when I read the news this AM. I just re-watched Entourage over the past month. I ended up skipping quite a few episodes tha I didn't care for. I never watch the few episodes with E's neighbor Ahley. She just annoyed the crap out of me!
when you get old.
and sometimes before you get old.
This is something that I might be interested in.
