It's interesting to see the the difference in what the Detnews is focusing on compared to what the Freep is focusing on. I really hope no one here continues to support the Freep. Can't wait to see Ricardo on the field. GO BLUE

I want so badly for this kid to be good for UM on the field. He just seems like such a good guy who's always willing to give whatever it takes to reach his goals. I think he's already a fan favorite without even playing yet.

the best recuiting article that made me feel like I got a snapshot of the recruits personality and demeanor than just the stats. This quote was great: "The first time I met Ricardo, I don't think he said, 'Hi' to me, I think he just said, 'Come to Michigan,'" Hopkins said, laughing. "I definitely talked to him a lot before I committed." All the best Ricardo you will do Michigan proud and I can see that you already are a true Michigan Man.

I really hope the coaches get him the ball,(if he earns it) he worked really hard recruiting for UM, it would be kinda sad to spend four years blocking

Since Mike Hart left, we haven't had a vocal leader on the field/sideline. The difference on the sideline is night/day from the Carr era (granted that it's tough to be excited when you're losing to Toledo). Anyway, I'm hoping an upperclassman steps up this season to rally the troops, but am extremely encouraged to hear that Ricardo is already a true Michigan Man.

Having dwelled in the -400 land for so long, my eyes seem to be playing tricks on me now. What are these strange arrows? Points? Oh my! Sorry to waste everyone's readin' time with the tooting of my own horn...happy to be in the black!

The depth at WR is awesome! Junior Hemingway, Darryl Stonum, Roy Roundtree, Martavious Odoms, Je'Ron Stokes, Cameron Gordon, Terrance Robinson, along with TEs Kevin Koger and Brandon Moore, it's nice to see Michigan finally have the talent and depth it needs at the wide receiver position. As far as Ricardo goes, that's allot of competition, so he'll have to have a strong freshmen year in order to sniff that #1 jersey. Cearly he's got the talent to do so though.

I thought Ricardo was the coolest dude ever because he was already a Michigan man as a high school junior in Florida. Then he kind of fell off the recruiting map and I forgot how awesome he is. It's good to be reminded, and I won't forget again.

This is a great quote, it really made me laugh.
"After the first few weeks passed, I just felt like I was used to it. Now I can walk outside with a T-shirt. I'm like a chameleon."
Ricardo is awesome, I'm really rooting for him to actually get the #1.

"I felt like I was a leader of my class. And what do leaders do? They recruit. They recruit troops. My fellow recruits are troops, and I wanted to have the best army."
Freep headline: Rich Rodriguez recruiting high school prospects to join paramilitary organization.

I met him last summer at Fan Day. He was milling around, signing autographs. I'd say he was hot, but I'm old enough to be his mom so let's just make it handsome. Don't want to get all Mrs. Robinson on ya'll.

I love this kid. Great head on his shoulders, great recruiter for us, and he understands the tradition of Michigan. He just gets it. Yeah, Rivals may have downgraded him this year. Whatever. The kid has natural size and talent already, and it seems like he has an attitude that he's going to come in and work extremely hard. With a combination of those two, I think he'll be extremely successful at Michigan. I predict he'll wear the No. 1 jersey at some point during his time at Michigan.

I was impressed with how incredibly well he spoke and handled himself while on WTKA. I love his enthusiasm about Michigan. He relocated for his senior year to play across the street from the Big House. How many kids make that kind of commitment? Regardless on how his football career works out, I will always be a huge fan of Ricardo.

I was pumped when he committed way back when and I am just as excited now. I expect great things from Ricardo and I don't think he will disappoint. Well done young man, can't wait to see you on the field. Now go get that No. 1!

That's what I like hearing, a kid who has set a goal (the #1 jersey) and intends to go after it. Our class may not be as highly ranked as some others, but as I've said before, with kids like this (who want to work and improve) vs 5 star royalty, we'll be doing just fine. I particularly like Ricardo's vocal leadership. If he really turns out to be Edwards, with Hart's mouth .... I love it!
