Remember last year

“Don't fear failure. — Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts it is glorious even to fail.” - Bruce Lee

That was last year. That is what we need again. We cannot "go quietly into the night." We may not win, but we must fight. This is Ohio F*#$%#g State. This is The Game. Stop being a bunch of whiners and remember, at the end of the day, we are the Maize and Blue. We support the Team, the Team, the Team. And at the end of the day, we aren't a bunch of mouth-breathers in Columbus, OH.

Go Blue!

And it took a near-transcendent performance from a broken-footed Devin Gardner to lose by 1, at home.  It ain't going to be pretty, even if the score seems reasonable.

Last year we had Borges.

That might have increased the odds of an embarrassing goose egg but there was also always a decent chance of a wow-unreal-WTF-was-that offensive explosion.

Now we just are what we are.

I am afraid the team and assistant coaches have given up on Hoke. I hope the team plays well and I will be rooting for the kids to have a great game. But I'm thinking it will be an OSU blowout. Even Urban may have pitty on us and play his backup players in the .4th QTR.

I have no Hope in Hoke winning this game! This the lowest amount of enthusiasm I have for "The Game" in my 43 years of being a big Michigan fan!

...but for Hoke to match RR's B1G record he would have to stay and lose every conference game from now to the end of 2019.

I'm not suggesting this current stretch is some sort of land of milk and honey, but what exactly was there in the 2008-2010 period that gave hope? I hope the next coach gets the memo: lose early and often, then everyone will be happy because the trend will be up forevermore.

I consider myself a pessimist but I see this game turning into a blowout and I believe OSU will run up the score. OSU has an outside shot at a spot in the playoffs and will be looking to add a dominating win against their rival to their resume. In addition I don't see Urban as being the type of coach who would let off the gas in anything but an early-season non-conference game.

the grass does grow, between the yardlines row on row , that mark our downs , and in the sky, the "keep Hoke" banners  freely fly ....sorry the format won't let me put this in stanzas

For all these whiney, self-hating, henny penny fans, we should create a crappy website and encourage them to leave MGoBlog and stink up that other blog. I would call that blog "MLive" or something. Once there, all the most cynical M fans can go and hate on players and coaches, and use dozens of exclamation points for emphasis. Basically, if you want Michigan to lose so that some sort of point is made as to how bad things have gone, then you belong on a different site.
