Remain Calm and Only Read Nice Things: Rashan Gary

Submitted by EUTM on

This is my first post and I'm not sure it's thread worthy, but taking into account the previous posted content about WD, I'm not holding anything back.

Rashan Gary is a good football player. Michael Dwumfour is one of his best friends/"his boy." Without going into too much detail, Sam Webb reported that Dwumfour has "a confident feeling (Gary) will go with Michigan." There's more to what Dwumfour had to say about Gary and his recent visit to M, but because I love Sam Webb and the work he does, I guess I'll hold something back and stop there.

After the last couple weeks of Ole Miss and now USC rumors, this is a peaceful reminder that we likely still lead for Gary. I also think it's important to note that Gary hasn't said anything himself about the USC visit, nor has he followed a ton (0 to be exact) of USC commits in the last 48 hours.

Every day leading up to NSD will undoubtedly test our sanity and producvtivity, but Jim would demand we put on our Blue Collared shirts and press on with EUTM.

I'm just happy we have each other for support.

is how much the mom talked about Michigan in her assessment of USC.  It struck me that Michigan was the measuring stick for considering USC.  I'm not convinced that USC over took Michigan as her leader.

Everybody knows how old WD is, and I'll bet good money everyone that comes down hard on him are twice his age or damn near close to it. But WD is the bad guy somehow? Is he over the top sometimes, is he discuss man? Who cares, he's a kid.(no offense WD, since I'm twice your age, I feel I can call you a kid :-) ) It in no way shape or form taints the quality of information we all get from this blog. The people who always feel compelled to respond to his posts in an aggressive, negative way is quite silly and in my view, one more example why our fanbase is considered so snobbish. I'll say it too, do your thing WD.

He can be over the top sometimes, but you never hear him saying bad things about other people.  He just does his thing.  The criticism only goes one way.

Some people are definitely jealous.

I don't care for people who criticize posters for grammar on a sports blog message board but it doesn't mean I need to personally attack you. Pretty sure if that's all WD is or isn't doing than I'm okay with it. He's not hurting anyone. It's amazing how sensitive some people are and how upset they get. I highly suspect it's pure jealousy, which is sad.

What is strange that you would settle on the conclusion that people are jealous of his "accomplishments" on a sports blog.  What exactly is there to be jealous of?  That he stalks twitter desperate to be the first one to post something?  That he has to start a discussion on EVERYTHING?  Yes, I know that I cry myself to sleep at night knowing he got to start the treat to discuss which pants the football team should wear and I didn't.

I find him annoying.  As someone above noted, he is a kid.  He is a kid with plenty to learn and an inability to accept when he was wrong.  Hey WD, who did Michigan play in a Bowl Game?

Jealous of the fact he contributes. He has quality information and good insight. He's passionate, positive and excited.

Jealous you might not be or might not want to admit but, I'd be willing to bet he's been more influential to Michigan football than you'll ever be.

Or jealous of the fact he actually has a hobby. One that he throughly enjoys. One he can continue to enjoy throughout his entire life.

The guy does nothing other than be passionate. He's respectful and takes all the crap like a man. I find yours and others negativity far more annoying than whatever the heck you think he does.

I meet hundreds of miserable people all the time. It doesn't matter how much money you have, where you went to school or anything else people will hate. I mean hell people hate me for my engagement video. Literally hate me I love it.

People just wanna hate to hate. I personally love it. The more crap talk about me the harder I work. I'm sure WD is the same way.

Keep on WD. I hope my kid is as passionate as you are about something.

I find this very entertaining, mostly because I think you are really serious about what you said.

Lets address this point by point.

Jealous of the fact that he contributes.  Contributes how?  By posting on a sports forum?  I also post on said forum.  I also contribute to the University monetarily.  I don't know if he does or doesn't but I would suggest we both contribute.

He has quality information and good insight.  If you mean he is able to take information from one source and post it onto another, then yes, he has quality information.  If you are giving him credit for 99% of this information, you must think Drew Sharp write all his material.  If by good insight you mean he has an opinion on everything, yes he does, as do thousands of other Michigan fans.

He is passionate.  You do realize there is such thing as TOO passionate right?  People lose their jobs over things like that.

This is my favorite one.  He has been more influential to Michigan Football than I will ever be.  Please, enlighten me to how he has been influential to Michigan Football.  Who amongst the program knows the legend of WD and will talk of his influences?  I personally know plenty of important people, doesn't mean I am influential.

The next I will just skip as this is going to turn into a my dad can beat up your dad spat.  Let's just say I have plenty of Hobbies.

I also deal with hundreds of miserable people everyday, I don't know what that has to do with the price of tea in China.  Just because I have to deal with it daily doesn't mean I am not going to call this kid out for what I view him to be.

Lastly since I am jealous because I find him annoying, I guess that means you are jealous me and the others that don't like him because you don't like us.  Why are you jealous of me?  Why won't you admit you are jealous of me.

Thanks for the entertainment for the day.  I really did have a good laugh at this.

the fact that you feel the need to, in your own words "call this kid out for what I view him to be." That is the problem and it is really quite sad.  You do realize you have the option to NOT read whatever he posts right?

It's the fact that you do read his posts, then get all whiny-crybaby, and go out of your way to bash a kid who is a fantastic fan and supporter of our team.  That makes you 50 times more annoying than WD could ever be and a generally super douche-baggy person.

The end.

I'm sure some people are jealous. Others because he is over the top and some because they are bitter people.  I don't know. I really don't care either way.  He's just a 20-something trying to find himself ... and a huge Michigan fan and that's always cool in my book.

I  am sorry, its one thing to paraphrase the substance of a premium post, its out of line to copy paste line for line

Sam does great work for the fans of Michigan football...people ought to respect that this is what he does for a living

*edit: yeah, but that's the point. Why would anyone pay, when there are folks like you that will post premium info online for free?

Yes this is great news. I do however have to point out that you copied all the information from a post that was meant for only premium members to scout. Don't think Sam would be cool with this

I guess that is fair, but still... That is $10 a month just to visit a site that might be the first to break information that will be all over twitter within a few seconds...

I agree that a lot of these guys deserve to make money for this kind of stuff, so I guess it's better to think of it more like a monthly donation instead.
