Rain is coming shortly
A thin band of showers is approaching from the northeast. This band is slowly moving at around 10 KTS or 11MPH. The showers could be heavy at times, after that rolls through there is nothing behind that as of now. The band looks to be weakening. Although something could build later throughout the day.

I live in the southern part of Romulus. It's here already, and yes, it's pretty heavy right now.

Yea there is a slightbend and right on the very west side of DTW it thins out and weakens. Just trying to give a heads up to those outside who wanted a fair warning or what not. I know I dont mind the rain but others might.

I think the one player that he most people worry about beating us single-handedly is Michael Floyd. I'd have to think that a nice, soggy field would really slow his roll. Also, I think that a slow field would be well suited to our sturdy RBs like Fitz or Hopkins.
Just my opinion, but I'd be pretty happy if the rain came for a while.
BTW - Thanks to everyone local for sharing what they see with those of us who are out of state now. It's really helpful to get the "inside info" instead of just looking up a computer forecast for the AA weather today.

Maybe it's just me but I think it's sliding south a bit and I think it may begin to improve throughout the day into this evening. Crazy as it's sunny, warm and not a cloud in the sky in Grand Rapids.

it is, the whole system is weakening and slowly moving south, southwest. Wih that said its still moving slowly so when it does rain it may rain for few hours. It should be cleared up for kickoff.

Fear not Ann Arbor, the blue skies currently in Royal Oak will be heading your way soon enough.

I live in Ann Arbor about 4 miles from the Big House and it's raining right now. This is ridiculous - it's been raining here and cloudy for the last 4 days.

Rain, rain go away.....this sucks. I can't remember too many Septembers when two games in a row had rain as an issue. Compared to last Saturday, this should be a minor annoyance.

"The band looks to be weakening."
Yes. The euphoniums are looking tired.
September 10th, 2011 at 11:53 AM ^
It looks to be clear behind. Should stay that way for the game as well.

I'm 25 miles east of Ann Arbor and it stopped raining about an hour ago. The sun is trying to come out in my neck of the woods.

So... optimistically, there is a 70% chance it will be dry!

I'm seeing blue skies with the sun peeking now at 3:28pm
