He’ll probably transfer and become an All American
December 30th, 2018 at 11:59 AM ^
When's the last time someone transferred and was actually good at his new school?
December 30th, 2018 at 12:12 PM ^
Bielfeldt. Ryan Mundy maybe? Kinda Mallett
December 30th, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
Ahhh Ryan Mallett, had he only stayed what could of been. Yes, a terribly awkward duck in RRod coaching style but still. No way we go 3-9.
Also caused Justin Boren to go to OSU and be all big ten to answer the post.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:16 PM ^
Countess' grad transfer year? He's still in the league, surprisingly. Although it is the Rams defense. Your overall point on transfers generally not panning out is definitely true.
Rawls was productive at CMU before getting into trouble (again) though his original departure was off the field reasons too.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:25 PM ^
Rawls transferred to CMU and did well in the MAC before playing in the NFL.
December 30th, 2018 at 1:16 PM ^
Baker Mayfield, Shea Patterson.

Mundy
Mallett
Bosch
Brian Cole was playing well for Miss St prior to injury
Asiasi will be
Keith Washington
Aubrey Solomon will be
James Hudson will be

So Mallet who left because of Rich Rod, Mundy who was a 5th year, Cole who failed out of school and no one yet....I think your list would be stronger with Bunting and Mo Ways on it

He was on the sideline yesterday.
Lost his job to Moody.
December 30th, 2018 at 11:51 AM ^
Got sick and tired of Harbaughs Jedi mind tricks and split.
December 30th, 2018 at 3:05 PM ^
i know. imagine the nerve of expecting your kicker to make fgs/xps

Juuuuust a bit outside.

I hate this fanbase.
December 30th, 2018 at 11:56 AM ^
I think this fan base is tired of not winning anything significant when you consider the amount of resources that go into this program.

Don't hate. But yes, this fanbase can be over the top negative.
December 30th, 2018 at 11:57 AM ^
Greg Henson says he cussed at Harbaugh during practice so he’ll be dismissed from the team. He also claims Gentry will enter the draft
December 30th, 2018 at 12:01 PM ^
December 30th, 2018 at 12:04 PM ^
Nope Gentry blows. Can’t block or catch. Maybe Canadian league football for him.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:26 PM ^
I wouldn't be surprised either way if he never played in the league or if he lasted a dozen years. He's big and fairly athletic for a TE especially of his height. He'll never be good at blocking but all he has to do is catch the fucking ball and he'd be a pretty useful asset on passing downs in the NFL.
December 30th, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
"All we had to do was catch the fucking ball and we would have been fine NFLers"
-Signed 10,000 anonymous guys
December 31st, 2018 at 12:24 AM ^
That's kinda true in a way, but not really, because ~9990 or so of those guys weren't 6'8" 260 and pretty athletic for that size.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:45 PM ^
To be fair to Gentry, he was a 4 star QB that was told he was being turned into a TE.
December 30th, 2018 at 1:21 PM ^
And now we're running the QB; a situation where having a big strong dude who can sort of throw would be a huge fucking asset.
December 30th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
The only thing I wish they would have done with Gentry is a few trick plays using him as a passer. That said, they did the right thing moving him to TE. He will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Not too many fast 6-8 TE's with good hands. He could be a big weapon in the NFL.
December 30th, 2018 at 2:42 PM ^
That sounds creative. I'd rather manball with my walkon RB.
December 30th, 2018 at 10:37 PM ^
Gentry's 32 catches for 514 yards (16.1 YPC) says you're wrong. He had a few drops against Ohio State and (IIRC) Indiana, but that doesn't mean he can't catch. Chase Winovich missed a sack against Florida, but it doesn't mean he can't sack the QB. Shea Patterson threw a couple interceptions against Florida, but it doesn't mean he's a bad quarterback.
Jake Butt averaged 11 or 12 yards per catch during his career, Gentry's up around 16 or 17, and some Michigan "fans" think he blows. Yeesh.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:04 PM ^
If that’s true, I wonder why he dressed and was on the sidelines? As far as Gentry goes, if he can go get paid, good for him. I think they will recover offensively and might have to use Eubanks and the WR’s more (which is a good thing scheme-wise, in my opinion).
December 30th, 2018 at 12:53 PM ^
If this is true then it certainly adds to the credence that players get sick and tired of Harbaugh’s nonsense. Would explain the odd transfers and players sitting out/complaining after the banquet.
December 30th, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
I call BS on this. He was on the sidelines yesterday and was the 1st to come up to Moody after the 52 yd miss.
December 30th, 2018 at 11:57 AM ^
He probably won't be having any sleepovers with Jim in the future.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:19 PM ^
Sleepovers with teenage boys rarely end well.

The status of our 2nd string kicker? Why does this need an entire thread dedicated to it the day after the bowl game?
December 30th, 2018 at 12:39 PM ^
I know, right? That space on the internets needs to be saved! I mean, it's ok to waste internets space, but not like this. How stupid that someone would post a question about a football team on a football blog about that team!? Crazy!
December 30th, 2018 at 10:59 PM ^
Do you know the status of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th string kickers?
I need to know kicker statuses.
December 30th, 2018 at 1:26 PM ^
Have we hit bottom yet?
December 30th, 2018 at 12:02 PM ^
Looked like he was dressed and on the sidelines and gave some encouragement to Moody after his miss.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:03 PM ^
There probably won't be two scholarship kickers on the roster next season.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:59 PM ^
Moody was a walk-on
December 30th, 2018 at 1:51 PM ^
I think that's his point
December 30th, 2018 at 12:07 PM ^
Quin became a celebrity before he became a good college kicker. That can generate a lot of unneeded pressure. Moody looks much more reliable and it’s highky unlikely Quin ever plays ahead of him.
It sure seemed to me like Harbaugh gave him plenty of time to get it worked out. I would suspect Quin will transfer to a team that needs a kicker and hopefully for him it’s very possible he can get his mojo back. Just not against us.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:13 PM ^
Whatever he does, I hope he announces it with a cool video... hopefully including a private jet.
