in less than an hour receives transfer commitment of Dante Cephas. Might be interesting to see who the replacement is. LINK

Gattis may not work out at (yt)Miami, but would he return someplace as a WR coach? I think he could still get OC positions if not HC positions at lower schools even if his P5 prospects are diminished. He'd also be likely to bounce from PSU asap (1 year) to an OC role. With most OC roles filled, it may make sense for 1 year for Gattis, but that doesn't much sense for PSU.

That might be the single most frustrating linked webpage I have ever had the displeasure of trying to read on my iPhone. So many popups and ads, impossible to navigate without touching one of the billion links.

I can't imagine working in a field where public firings are common place.  I get that football coaches bounce around, but I can not imaging worming my way through this conversation:

"I see you've been fired from Tech recently, State before that, and you left the two previous positions after one season. Not a lot of good press around your adventures.  What makes you think your stint here will be different?"

Kind of a weird, unstable profession.

And I doubt those questions get asked the same way they'd get asked in a regular professional interview. Everyone in the coaching profession knows that there's no job stability or security in the industry.

Nick Saban coached at 6 different schools between 1976 and 1983 as an assistant. Kirby Smart before becoming Nick Saban's 'crown prince' at Bama had 5 different jobs between 2001 and 2006.

Dante Cephas is from Pittsburgh. Could be a life long Penn St. fan who knows.  Maybe now he just wanted to come back to his home state now that he's proven himself at Kent State.  Looking at his recruiting profile he didn't get very many offers initially.

Saw the name Taylor Stubblefield and my first thought was that he was just playing at Purdue a couple years ago, wow he got into coaching early.  Then I looked at his wikipedia page and saw that he played at Purdue from 2001-2004.  Man time flies when you are getting older.
