Do any MGoBloggers out there have the inside scoop for when you can pre-order a PS5?

You have to go here and register for the chance to be able to pre-order https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2020/ps5-direct-pre-orders/.

That site has been active for about a week, so you may be shit out of luck at this point. Sorry man.

I won't preorder the system until I know the price point which is unknown at this point. I rather wait because there could be issues early on and have Sony patch it up so the first time I buy it, it shouldn't be a big issue.

I once would have been all over this, but since I still haven’t played some of the great games from the PS3 era, let alone the PS4 era, I’ll happily buy a PS5 a year or two after it releases. Freaking responsibility and family, always getting in the way of endless video gaming.

Meh, the PS4 launch was fine for the most part, certainly in line with any normal CE product. The biggest launch flop was X360 with it's three rings of death. They also did an awful job supporting the issue with using refurb units (which all had the same issue) to replace, which themselves failed. I went through 3 units before finally getting them to send me a new unit.

I, too, am constantly looking for information about pre-ordering an Xbox...or even a fucking price at this point. We're in September and there still isn't a price. I think it's ridiculous. I am buying a console no matter what, but I would at least like to prepare myself for the ass kicking my bank account is going to take when I buy this thing.

This is probably the first gen where I won't buy a launch console. The game line up is pretty lack-luster for both. The extra power is cool and the demos they've shown with the new Unreal engine are jaw dropping, but I also doubt we'll see that level of in game performance for a while.
