Pride somethingsomething Fall
Michigan State had Michigan come onto their court and expected to win because they're MSU. They were outhustled and outplayed by a team who wanted it more, a team composed of players MSU fans claim wouldn't start anywhere else in the Big Ten. Their players played slow, clumsy ball but expected to win because they're MSU and this is UM. They had fans coming in with a number in their head and, for some, a number on their torso:
And they left looking like idiots.
Thank you Yesvak
Thank you Douglass
Thank you team play
Pride somethingsomething Fall.

I was all like, "YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A great win. Those guys look exactly like the kids I remember seeing on MSU's campus when I was there for grad school - just douche kids who thought they were big studs but looked incredibly dumb when taken off that campus. Bless the marvels of modern technology that these idiots will be immortalized forever on the Internet.

Those guys can hop in the shower together and scrub away their shame. On second thought, that won't work--they'll still be Sparties.

The largest of all hugs. Dude played balls to the wall, and every time we hit a three I nearly dumped my laptop on the floor. The tears of MSU fans taste oh so sweet right about now!

I wouldn't want to be a couch in East Lansing tonight.

Sweet necklace brah.

you'll stop complaining about Morris now? Sweet, thanks.
January 27th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
that game was won by team players like novak and douglass. morris' play in the 2nd half nearly handed the game back single-handedly.

Morris played great in non-conference. But I think he still has a very long way to go. We shot 50% from 3 and he missed even more opportunities to hit Novak or Douglass by driving and trying to shoot all game. He's still got a long way to go but his turnovers did almost cost us the game.

And he's the only guy on the team that played the entire 40 mins. No one else can consistently create open looks for our shooters, and he hit a couple clutch shots in the lane with guys all over him. You were way overreacting in the open thread. It's okay to admit you were wrong. We just won @ MSU, and Darius Morris is a huge reason why.
EDIT: This was meant for Geaux_Blue
Double edit: guess I replied to the right post after all

DMo is our best player and Novak wouldn't have got half of those looks if it wasn't for Darius passing him the ball. There is no way in hell we are even in this game with Darius Morris. I guess I didn't realize that 17pts, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals was bad. I give Novak and Stu a lot of credit but seriously...
EDIT: Mine too ha

Morris also made some nice passes in the first half to set up Novak and even made a few triples of his own. But yeah, other than that, he screwed it all up!
Let's find the negative in a great win and rail on our best player who's only a sophomore!

Morris played a terrific game.
Novak was off the charts.
Douglass came through when we needed him.
Morris is a team player.

Who assisted there? DMo will make mistakes, but do you realize he--as a sophmore point guard starting full-time for the first time--just led our squad into the Breslin Center and left with a victory? Point guard is per se the leader. Maybe he listened to some of the hype, but he's still maturing. Go easier on him. He deserves congratulations. The whole team does.
Congrats to Coach Beilein and to the Michigan Men's Basketball Team. Very proud to be a Wolverine today. Well done. Bravo.
These young players can give Michigan a bright future if they stay humble and focus on constant improvement.

What's that I smell?
The tide turning and the winds of change a'comin.
The world is beginning to right itself, starting with tonight's big win.

Imaginary +1 for signature line.

We are going to CRUSH, as in, OBLITERATE those little green worms THIS year. Tides have turne, winds of change are blowin, , world is righting it self, and we are KICKING ASS.
Wow, it felt good to get that off my chest.
Now, we are going to obliterate tOssoBucco Bucksters next November.
The world has turned and -- we will put our trust in the Might Hoke.

This game officially makes the hiring of Hoke a Good Sign for the Michigan Athletic Department.

Only thing that would have made this better was if those meatheads stuck around till the very end and the cameras caught them all crying (like Oklahoma band girl a few years back).

The dazed Clemson guy was a classic, too.

Sparty's little 3-year party has just ground to a screeching halt. We can look forward to Brady reestablishing the proper cosmic order in the fall. Those who stay...
