Presser Classics
I love the media. I thought the presser had 2 classics.
1. What about the 3-3-5? Basically said what every other person who knows football has said. Any scheme can work if you have the right people and teach it correctly. Summarized-Listen nerd anybody who says the 3-3-5 can't work has never played. I was impressed he didn't just follow the media creation and say "The Big Ten is MANBALL we'll play a 4-3" So that was refreshing.
2. Drew with his BCS/Big Ten conundrum. Yes Drew you we're right we are a mediocre program because we just want to win the Big Ten. The key is finding players talented enough to beat OSU, but just not good enough to win the BCS. That is difficult, but because we are Michigan and do not want to be elite we can find those players and coach them to that unique level. We are striving for that narrow window of finishing between 2-5 in the country each year Drew. Please right that insightful column now about our mediocrity.
A question for anyone in attendence or knows. When Hoke asked who said Michigan isn't elite anymore was Drew hiding under the desk or did he raise his hand? Sharp and Valenti are the 2 guys pushing that meme the hardest, if Drew has the balls he claims he does he should have raised his hand.

....about not being able to say "Ohio" and "State" together. I don't recall Coach Hoke's exact answer, but he never, during the entire press conference, used those two words together. Awesome.

Sounds petty. The sort of thing that would get negged on this forum. But it probably makes some people very happy. Shows he "understands the rivalry" and all.

...I'm sure that Angelique had fun with that exchange.

but, wow, that was hard to read.

In retrospect, RR probably should have hired Rocky Long instead of GERG

Most definitely.

Agreed with everything you said. I still would rather see us go 4-3 over 3-3-5. Not saying it doesn't work, more of a personal preference.

The best part was when he got asked why Michigan wasn't considered an elite job any more, and Hoke responded with, "Who said that?" and the reporter shrugged it off and Hoke just goes, "No, seriously. Who said that?"

I definitely enjoyed that. I think he understands that we don't expect him to throw a pity party. He was handed the keys to a Ferrari. Maybe it has some scheduled maintenance, but it's still a sweet vehicle.

Agreed. We have our problems but THIS IS MICHIGAN (haha). We've always been great, and assuming the effort keeps getting put in, we always will be. No reason this isn't a top ten job.

that made me laugh loud enough for the guy in the next office to hear.

I think you're write on most accounts.

How is Drew Sharp a Michigan Alum? I understand that they have to be objective, but if it's your school you have to be a little happy today. That guy doesn't have a soul.

Fuck Drew Sharp
(figuratively, not literally)

I enjoyed the little shots DB took at the plane trackers, personally

Eh, I thought it made him look like douche. I didn't even follow the trackers... Also didn't help when he was somewhat rude when the guy asked what other things he was looking for in a coach and he just said 'no'. I mean come on...
