The traditional Pre-Ohio State game Gravewalk will be tomorrow Tuesday 11/22. Meet at 6:00 pm at the fountain next to Burton Bell Tower and then the group will walk to Forest Hill Cemetery on Observatory to visit the final resting places of Bo Schembechler, Fielding Yost and Bob Ufer. It is tradition to bring flowers or any other tokens to leave at their graves.

Maybe pass on the memorializing of the racist who re-segregated Michigan and fucked up the Willis ward Georgia tech situation because he was still a racist and the guy who ignored sexual abuse

I can see your point, but smashing buckeyes on Bo’s grave is one of my favorite memories from college.

One year Bob Ufer’s grandson came and let everyone honk the famous Touchdown horn.

It’s not really a somber event, moreso just a group of Michigan fans talking about past successes.

Exactly!  If going to Yost & Ufer's Graves had been happening for years prior to Bo's passing, then sure.

But not only is this *not* a long established tradition... it isn't working either.  Since Bo passed we have been getting our proverbial a**es handed to us in the rivalry.

So the answer is clear:  bring him back.

Fortunately, we have numerous ways to proceed.  We could:

1) dig him up and just install him on the sidelines... he might not be the greatest company these days, but who would argue it wouldn't look a bit intimidating.

2) re-animation:  just complement the parts missing from Bo with various parts from other coaches.  If Gene Wilder can pull it off in a Mel Brooks movie, anyone can.

3) genetic engineering: why try to revive a dead Bo when you can just change someone into him?  We have numerous "analysts" and support staff... surely any of them would be happy to volunteer for the appropriately modified retroviruses/gene therapy, plastic surgery & hormone supplements to become the coach of yesteryear.

4) cloning: think "Dolly" but less sheep and more curmudgeony old man.  Long lead time for growth & development here than other options, but the product is more genuine.

Other options abound!  But the better solution may be to just let these men lay in peace and maybe focus on something that will actually get under our adversaries' skin.  When was the last time we went and raided something on their campus?

Out of respect for the victims of Dr Anderson, I am not sure why Bo deserves our respect.   As the man himself said:

“Every coach, every executive, every leader: They all know right from wrong. Even those Enron guys. When someone uncovers a scandal in their company, I don't think they can say, "I didn't know that was going on." They're just saying they're too dumb to do their job! And if they really are too dumb, then why are they getting paid millions of dollars to do it? They know what's going on.”

This is a tradition that really needs to end. Celebrating Yost and Bo is disgusting at best.  If PSU did this for JoePa this board would crush them.time to drop the hypocrisy.

I’m all for people honoring Bo and Yost or whoever, but this isn’t a football tradition, it’s younger than my 11 year old, has not worked to motivate anyone and should be at least not a publicized thing and possibly abandoned.

it reeks of the Michigan tendency to look backward, a tendency that is basically responsible for our inability to become a modern program.

I used to love this tradition, but if we're still showing respect to Bo, what the hell are we doing? Glorifying someone who enabled decades of sexual assault? This is just gross, I can't believe people are still worshipping him, no way I go this year if that's how we're doing this.
