Possible Throwback Design Leaked?
I was just poking around MDen, and came across this:
http://www.mden.com/shopping/index.cgi?1029550207442098?1522?1
It's an empty link. But it includes this thumbnail:
to match the Zubaz
double
Have you read any of these comments? Everyone hates it. Except me. I love it.
The consensus seems to be "not that bad". I think it's that bad. I can't imagine it being worse.
Online vendors don't put leaked prototypes into their online queue. This could be it, my friends...
I know that being on the MDen site and tagged as "Michigan Night Game" on the mouse-over makes this seem very legit, it still doesn't address the NCAA rule that player numbers must be at least 8" in size on the front and back of the jerseys. Am I remembering this rule correctly? There's no way that front number is 8 inches.
At least as of the 2009-2010 Football Rules and Interpretations, the front number needs to be at least 8". The numbers also must be 1.5" thick, I'm not sure if this would qualify.
To find the reference quickly search for "Numerals" at the link.
No, really, honey, does this make me look fat?
At least the stripes are vertical. I hear horizontal stripes are not flattering at all.
That if this is the actual jersey then the sleeves will be cropped and it wouldn't look as bad. This being the non-authentic jersey, it does not have the fitted sleeves that are fit to the shoulder pad and much shorter.
I actually don't mind it. I think it's a fad to rip on anything new so I'm going against the grain with this.
There are some cool things in this uni. Take a closer look in the inside of the neck appears to say "Those who stay will be Champions" and also the use of the National Championship Years at the bottom of the Uni.
Like most don't like the sleeves but there are some nice history embedded into them.
...I'm okay with it. Otherwise, Hurl, Hurl to Michigan the Chanels of the West.
... that is making my eyes hurt.
straight ballin'
I was about to say that hoefully they look better with pads, but I saw this picture and that puts an end to my those thoughts.
Pls withdraw, Mr. Brandon.
sorry, it does in fact look ridiculous
Yeah, that's just beyond awful. Ohio State should be forced to play every game for the next 100 years in those jerseys as part of the NCAA sanctions.
Maybe it will look better at night, in dimmer lighting. The blue will be more like black under the lights.
The MGoBlue facebook page has been putting up various throwback uniform items asking what fans thought of them. I initially thought they were letting the fans help them choose in what direction to take the jerseys for the ND Game...and then this bomb gets dropped on us.
Hopefully ND players will be distracted by the hideousness and go into yakety sax mode
They can't possibly go with those stripes on the arms: they make the thing look like a child's pajamas. But they could keep the three shoulder stripes. That look could be kind of cool.
It also looks a lot better in person than the stupid cartoon drawing.
I'm buying one if there's no Arby's logo...
Why are they dead set on those stripes? I think blue with a maize block M would be ok, but no stripes. Sorry, Adides we don't have a "throwback" uniform for you to exploit.
This is the uniform version of the much-despised halo. They look ridiculous. Lose the stripes and I would like it so much better.
It looks like a clown suit.
Please no.
looks strange to me. I'd rather it was in the corner, instead of the number. And for the record, Denard Robinson may be a superhero, but that doesn't mean he needs to be adorned in superman blue...
will be officially released to the public on the 10th, just a heads up.
michigan football just tweeted that the jersey is going to be announced Friday night with a link to an ad from adidas
If anyone can post the pic from the ad directly I would appreciate it.
I see a gray facemask
