He must be sharing it with Pitbull who is featured on MGOBLOG instead of any living or historic coach or player during the biggest rivalry week of the year...

Not classy, funny or explainable...............

Obviously, I can't edit the post, but it is the case that JK Dobbins at OSU is the other co-offensive player, and Chase Young OSU is the defensive player of the week.

I'd be curious to know when the last time anyone, and the last time a Michigan player in particular, won the award two weeks in a row.

However, what I'd like even more is for Patterson to win the offensive player of the week three weeks in a row (with the concomitant win over OSU.)

I'm not sure the run game went anywhere that it needs to come back from.  The lack of carries (and hence, yards) the last two games is due primarily to avoiding the strength of MSU's defense and taking the free yards Indiana decided to give us.

As mentioned in the podcast, attacking where the defense is weak is something Michigan offenses have historically not done.  I like this new trend!  If it keeps up (and I bet it will), there will be some choices the OSU defense will have to make.  The hope is that Shea makes them as wrong as he made MSU's and IU's choices...

Playin good football in November....seems.....nice?  Still wish we'd been able to minimize the offensive system transition costs earlier in the season, but it seems like the combination of a new system, injuries at some key spots, and dumb turnovers doomed the season before it even got going.

That said, let it fly again OSU, Shea. I don't like our chances, I'm sure as shit not confident we're going to win, but this team is playing it's best ball of the year at the right time, is generally healthy, has nothing to lose but pride in the game, and seems fully weaponized to give the Buckeyes a fight. If ever there was a team that could screw up their season, this one seems as good as any. GO BLUE!!!!

Seems like a good place to say this...

If you posted something like this — no “/s” — a month or more ago please take a break with the dissing next time around. I totally get the frustration with watching the team lose and look befuddled. It fucking sucks. We feel the need to blame someone. But man...these kids, QB’s especially, are out there getting their asses kicked by 275lb dudes for your entertainment. So, please, the next time we look awful and it seems like a player’s fault just sit on your hands instead of dissing him in a public forum. I’m sure you can find a friend in real life who will agree with you and you can work yourselves into a pissed off frenzy in a way that has no chance of making it back to the players.

Check out my posting history the only thing I’ve ever had a complaint was  Beilein. And boy was I flat out wrong. Thanks for being internet PC police. But you could have taken the time to view what I actually post. I’ve been a Shea fan and I am and always will be a Harbaugh fan. He’ll figure it out he’s too competitive not to. If anything I’ve been critical of the WR’s having some cases of the dropsies.

I think the people who cry and moan after installing yet another offense about why it’s not working need to take a step away.

Those who stay will be Champions. I just hope we don’t run Harbaugh out of town because his replacement can do much worse.

Hoping that the 300+ yard performances will continue.

I think airing it out is the only way UM hangs with or even has a shot at beating OSU.

Shea Patterson has every reason to go into Saturday confident, believing he can lead the team to a win.

I hope he knows that and plays like he has these last few weeks! That team is beatable.

Let's Go Blue!

Weather forecast is looking bad ... wintery mix and brisk winds.  Typical THE Game conditions.  Shea has proven to be good in bad conditions.  Fields has never played in Michigan in late November in bad conditions.  Let's make him miss his hometown Georgia weather.

BTW - any injury reports on Fields ?  That left hand looked a bit mangled and he left the game limping after his ankle was rolled on.

He deserved it...

Even between last week and this week, his release seems much quicker, more confident and better accuracy. The ball floated on him a couple times, and that's ok... I'd rather see a missed long ball than an interception; also on the receivers to kick in the after-burners and go get it.

Also, his technique seems better, tight-ass spirals this past weekend... loved seeing that for the first time in a long time!

Well deserved too, I would say.

Hopefully, he can tack one more such honor on this coming Saturday, although looking at the forecast, it might not be a great passing day.
