Pam Ward has deflated me
Holy shit. A Michgan game is on TV, the B10 season is starting, it is clearly Fall, and I'm looking forward to a victory. I turn on ESPN U, swelling with anticipation for another three and half hours of bliss, and hear "I'm Pam Ward" and see Pam wearing some sort of faux leather jacket. Fuck. Talk about going from midnight back to six, quickly.

When I first saw the thread title, I read "deflated" as "fellated"...imagine my horror.
Excuse me, I need to get a mop and bucket to clean up the projectile vomiting.

But they are related.

I totally concur. Where can I find the radio broadcast, so I can turn the volume on the TV off. This is painful.

Solution - Turn the TV down, and listen to the radio broadcast - http://1300wood.com/main.html

Or turn the sound off and use the liveblog as your commentary. At least you'll know it's not biased.

i broke my mute button -- she is driving me nutes! she is making me wish that danielson was announcing...

Yeah it's totally not biased. Nobody on this board cares one way or the other if Michigan or Indiana wins.

I can hear crowd and game noises, but I can barely hear the broadcasters. I can tell they're talking, but that's about it.
The commercials are screwed up too, so it's not just the game feed.
Pam Ward or not, this is not a bad way to watch the game.
Edit: My wife says, "Are you gonna call Rogers?"
Me: "Hell no. I like it this way."

oh how i hate her

Consider yourself fortunate -- I went all the way back to 4:30.

Michigan is that they have great depth across the board." Really? Talk about doing no homework.

That caught me off guard too, but he was talking about the offense. He needed to clarify that.

Which reminds us kids; just say no to drugs...

But because it seems like she is watching an entirely different game that I despise her noise maker. This is painful.

I don't want to hear a woman announcing a football game even if she is the second coming of Keith Jackson. A woman is perfectly capable of being good or great at announcing football--I just don't want to hear her. Football is the ultimate masculine game, and hearing a feminine voice describing every play is a contradiction in tone that is jarring and takes you out of the game.

You don't need to worry about Pam Ward's man-voice throwing off your auditory game then.

How much would Pam Ward have to pay you to let her blow you?
I'd take $500.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:03 PM ^
I'd be afraid she'd pay you and then make you blow her.

just said "more huger." Seriously...
October 2nd, 2010 at 6:57 PM ^
did she remind us that IU hasn't beaten Michigan since 1987?
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:02 PM ^
She's white? Never has anyone sounded so black in my life.
Also holy crap she's ugly....
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:04 PM ^
Sadly, I still think she was better this year than the UM/IU game from last year...
And by better, I poked by eyes and ears out by the 3rd quarter instead of the 2nd.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:06 PM ^
Well at least it's finally over.
Now let us join together in prayer and beg the gods of ESPN for fruitful broadcaster assignments.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:18 PM ^
...I'd gotten to hear her refer to "Mike Cox."
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:17 PM ^
Doesnt ESPN just send her to the big east or ACC games? Nothing gets me happier than michigan football saturdays. nothing pisses me off more than when pam gets the game. Thank God for this blog, it made me feel a little better once I found out everyone else in the michigan football world is disgusted by her looks and lack of talent as much as I.
