Well... Just in time for the mid season finale out season ends as well. Thoughts so far?

The middle of these recent episodes has been really slow and tonights show didnt add much for me really until the very end...

Do we see Alexandria next?

For all of you comic book followers out there, have they stayed pretty close to the script so far this season? Was very surprised by the outcome, didn't see that coming.

Can't wait until their follower finally tracks them down, should bring another dynamic to the storyline.

Looking forward to the new episodes in February!

I'll be a little less vague: As weird as it sounds and although he's only played a major role in 2 episodes, Morgan has always been my favorite character, especially in the earlier episodes where Rick would occassionally try to communicate with him through the walkie-talkie, which would make you wonder what became of him.  I was really upset about the state of his character in the last episode he was really in and thought we had seen the last of him, so I of course I about shit myself earlier this season when they first showed him again.   I'm extremely excited to see where this story arc is going.

The whole show has parallels with the comic but with the show it strays off into way different things outside of the books. Some of these things are interesting character developments on the show and others are just things they do to fill up episodes. I think the comic is better than the show, but because it's so different I think it draws me to watch the show whenever it's on. Without giving too much away from the comic. The next few seasons could be very interesting IF they are done right and they could probably easily get two or three more years out of the show just to catch up to the most recent comic. Like I said if done right they could be pretty bad ass and action packed seasons also. Kirkman said he has an ending in sight for the comic and getting there could take a while yet. I don't have the link but that ending won't come for a while I'd imagine since the show and comic are huge cash cows right now.

Since Gimple took over. The Hospital was a complete departure this year, and they obviously aren't doing a shot for shot remake, but they hit on a lot of the big moments. The scene tonight with Rick by the parking garage was straight out of how he dealt with the cannibals in the comics. If you are interested in that stuff, Gimple did a great episode of Girl on Guy recently where he talked about how he translates the comic to a show and working on it as a fan of the comics. It's very, very VERY spoiler heavy though, including a gigantic comic spoiler the show has not gotten to yet.

Really predictable again after this season started well. I thought the entire season would be a big terminus man hunting thing and that was gone ep 1. Awesome. Then I thought they'd be in a woods ninja war with the termites but that was over by ep 3, IIRC. Awesome. After that? Boring & predictable. Whenever anyone gets happy about someone or something, it goes away. Beth dying was no shock and honestly didn't affect me. When she grabbed the scissors I knew how she'd die. Only thing I didn't predict right was I assumed a gun battle after Beth killed that cop lady but it was: stab, shot, ohmybad, shot, don't kill us, anyone wanna join us, sister cries when high hopes are dashed, end. I'm officially back to not really caring but still watching for some reason. Such bad writing.

Bad and boring writing? Love the just throwing the word fact in to try and make your opinion more important than it is. Is there a show out there like this without any character or story building episodes? One that's just non-stop action without a recurring cast?

But there's NO plot development. Not since Woodsbury.  They're literally going nowhere.  It's not an uncommon stance by viewers - we've invested ourselves and evvery once and a while there's a decent episode, but they LITERALLY are right back where they started in episode 1.

It's being so obviously dragged out because it is a ratings mecca for AMC.

Saying "CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT" is not an argument for the writers, either.  You can de character development while moving the plot forward.  And for FSM's sake, either make Rick evil and a villian, or don't.  I'm so sick of him.  THAT would be ballsy - kill of a main character, not Beth.

there is so much wasted potential for this show.  Aside from the wandering going nowhere nature of the journey at this point,   the plot holes just make it borderline unwatchable.  I mean the stupid zombies can shamble and groan... why is simply walking away in literally ANY other direction than the direction they are coming from not a solution to EVERY.SINGLE.ATTACK?    and how is anyone EVER suprised by a walker in the open?   I get opening a locked door and stumbling into having one right there....but outside?  How!?!

Oh...we need to have someone get into danger;  lets put them in a car and then have them drive down a deserted highway and then have them look away for 30seconds so we can then have them hit a walker that runs out from no where. yay! drama!  I mean fewer accidents happen on today's roads with distracted drivers than with these idiots.

I get it. it's about zombies.  the problem I have with this show is the derpy writing that knocks you right out of the suspension of disbeleif needed to watch the show.

thank God, an episode where something finally happens. whole season thus far is meaningless since the whole purpose was to save beth, and they only saved her for about 30 seconds

I was more than satisfied watching Carol make the greatest bottle rocket shot ever and then the machetes in the church. My only issue with resolving Terminus was the stalking around the church at night. Rick takes the group single file out the front where the Terminites could pick them off and then let's them get all the way to the door inside the church before unleashing a kill shot? Way too risky for someone to actually do, even as a decoy.

I thought when Rick said, "can't go back bob" it was a good insight into how far he has come since day one. Now Rick Grimes is a baller, it's a perfect fit, and great acting on his part considering he is British and the nicest dude ever outside of the show.
