Tigers switching announcers with the Cardinals for a few innings. This new guy is turrrrriblleee. Bring back Rod Allen!
Did you not like effulgent yesterday? Sheesh
He's gone seven innings and given up two runs. I'll take that any day.
Im tired of hearing the negativity around this team so far this season. So you're tired of all the negativity, but have no problems overreacting when it's convenient
Boesch made a nice play to get the Tigers out of the innning with just one run scoring, but he also got the rally started by not catching a foul fly ball when it looks as though he should.
Well, looks like we're not getting to .500 tonight.
Tiger defense is second rate; Peralta took his eye off the ball and botched it.
Can someone explain to me again exactly why we let Placido Polanco go again? Was it his great fielding or his professional at-bats or maybe his solid .300 average....or just maybe we couldn't find a helmet to fit his unusually large cranium. Can't remember.
There were.......rumors....about how his head got that big in the first place. Plus if you look at his totals, his numbers have been in decline every year since he left.
Having said that, I think they made a major mistake in not at least offering him arbitration at that time. All we had behind him was Scott Sizemore, and we saw how well that worked out for us. Now, if Sizemore had proven that he was healthy from his broken ankle and had been productive in the minors that season, we could have then traded Polanco that July or so.
There's no way we can sit here and be convinced that he would still be our 2B today. But we didn't need to throw him away, either.
Why does Leyland have to walk over and check the lineup card in the dugout? This is 2012 fergodsakes! Shouldn't the Skip have an iPad or something
You're talking about Jim Leyland and technology here. That's like talking about the Amish and electricity.
He still thinks OBP is too progressive. I'm surprised he's not writing the lineup in the warning track to be honest.
