because Porcello looked shaky early.
Only one Tiger tonight?
I thought Tiger got cut today???
Considering all of his recent transgressions, I'd say Tiger is winning!
REE-URR! SOMEBODY SEND ME OUT TO SEA!
The Angels are pitching about as well as Tiger played today.
You have to feel for Gerald Laird.
The poor guy has been worse than usual at the plate this year.
Then out of nowhere, he hits a 2-run homer in the 4th to tie the game, only to have his feat overshadowed on the very next at-bat by the rookie Sizemore's go-ahead HR, and then have his hero-status completely forgotten a few at-bats later with the rookie Boesch's Grand Slam.
They guy just can't catch a break.
Im happy with the tigers winning and everything, but I was really hoping to see good performance from him today. He might be the weakest pitcher in the rotation right now.

I'm still... iffy on Bonderman. But I really hope he comes back strong.
But Bonderman has looked sharp more than not, trust me. He's learning how to pitch, post injury.
Look how long it took Liriano to return to form.
The wins will come.

Austin Jackson is just an enigma who is driving statheads nuts right now. Hopefully he keeps it up.
He was #2 going into today, behind Robinson Cano.
The kid is legit.
He's also striking out at a ridiculous pace. I realize he has cut down the last few games, but it's not like he's going to stop striking out all of a sudden. There's no way he'll sustain the success he has had so far, but it's looking more and more like he might avoid the massive slump most are calling for. It's still hard to say though, Pineiro looked awful today.
just had had his 4th game in a row without a K.
Adjustments, that goes both ways!
I have advocated the trade to get him here almost more than anyone on this board, so I am far from a Jackson hater. But facts are facts. He's either striking out or getting a hit, which is incredibly fortunate to say the least. I fully believe he's legit, but he won't hit over .300 this season or any other until he cuts down on the Ks. The fact that he has not struck out over the last four games doesn't change the fact that he's still on pace to set the major league record for Ks in a season.

anyone out there "feel" like the Tigers are really getting it together?
It's like they're starting to jell... can't put a finger on it.

I feel the same way. This team is really starting to come together. I also thought Porcello pitched fairly well. He had good movement on his pitches he just left a couple of balls up and the Angels his him hard.
