OT - Sam McGuffie article
Saw this article in the Houston Chronicle about Sam and the upcoming season for Rice. I've always liked this guy and hope the best for him.

A throng of television cameras and digital recorders engulfed McGuffie, who sheepishly answered their queries, the dark blue cap still pulled low. He admitted he was embarrassed by all of the attention, although he had to know to expect this type of attention after transferring home.
“It’s like the pope is here or something,” he said.
Great kid, great character, I wish him only the best at Rice. May he tear up C-USA and never play against Michigan. Ever.
What kind of arrogant D-bag writes like this? Good luck to Sammie, though. His brain should survive a little better in C-USA than in the Big Ten
There was a ton of hoopla around his return to Houston. The word around town is that he was quite a humble guy last year as he sat out and that he continually speaks highly of his chance at UofM.

Q). What made you decide to go to the University of Michigan?
A). They asked me if I wanted to go there.
My question: Is that really Sam?
Northwestern at Rice (7:00pm est), I'm gonna have to DVR that one.
I now have a rooting interest in C-USA (other than the once a decade beating of Alabama). Go get 'em Sam.
It's going to be a bittersweet moment when he's running all over/around people. Would have loved to have him stick around, but he had to do what's best for him. Hopefully he dominates.
in Texas I will get a chance to see a few Rice games. I hope he tears it up on the field! I will let everyone know how is doing at the end of Sept. Go get um Sam!
I bought a Rice shirt the last time I was on campus just so I could support Sam. Hopefully Rice can turn it around this year.
I just hope he can stay healthy. The last concussion he suffered agaunst OSU was scary. I am worried that he could get really really hurt. Good luck Sam, and keep your head down, man.
"But that year of sitting back, I got to see and take everything in. It let me appreciate the game more.”

Reading that really makes me wish he were still around. He was truly "thrown into the fire" here, and if we had had any sort of O-line/QB combo he could have been a monster even then. Good times...
How can I watch his games?
