HEY YO!!  It may be a late post but since we have a thread on The Bachelor finale, I thought I'd post about the passing of a wrestling revolutionary.  Scott Hall passed today after suffering 3 heart attacks as a result of complications from a hip surgery after a fall.

I'm sure that even that most anti-wrestling of you know what the nWo was and their affect on pop culture in the late 90's and Scott Hall planted the1st seed.  Even through all of his personal trials &tribulations ended his career prematurely, Scott Hall came out the other side a better man.  "Bad times don't last, but Bad Guys do!"

I was into wrestling for only like a brief time period when I was a young teenager, but during that time period Razor Ramon was pretty much my favorite wrestler. This was during his mid-90s stint in WWF. .

It's kinda effed up to think how many of the guys one watched in those days have died since then. A wrestler who dies in bed at age 90 seems like a frickin unicorn.

I remember watching wrestling back in the late 60s and early 70. I think it use to be on Ch.50 on Saturday night. I recall flying Fred Curry and the Sheik. Then Occasionally in the 80s I would watch WWF with Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan. But I don't recall this wrestler, though may be I did see him in the 80s?

During covid, I went down a weird youtube rabbit hole of mini-docs about wrestling in the 80's and 90's, and I feel like I know everything about wrestling, despite not having watched it since I was in grade school, almost 30 years ago.

As a wrestling fan back in its heyday I never cared for Razor Ramone but I liked Big Scott Hall.I am of the opinion that Vince Jr ruined wresting even though he has made billions along the way.I grew up watching Big Time Wrestling on Channel 62 and watched a rival of Big Time on Channel 9.I remember hating the Sheik and pulling for Tex Mackenzie,Bobo and Dick the Bruiser.Would beg my dad to take us to the air conditioned Cobo Arena but we never went.

Was a marine stationed in the Carolinas in the early 80's and we would watch Mid Atlantic,Georgia and Florida championship wrestling every Saturday for 3 straight hours. The good ol days.

These pro wrestlers live hard lives and have little time off.

P.S. Arn Anderson and Jim Cornette have some good stuff on YT where they shoot straight on behind the scenes stuff.

Currently reading "We Promised You a Great Main Event", which is all about the rasslin'. I only really watched as a kid, but thought the book would be interesting. Its a good read for wrestling fans and there are a bunch of great stories on guys that I didn't know before reading. There is a good bit on the NWO and how WCW basically ruined it and caused the company's demise.

RIP Razor

Ill just add my favorite wrestling memory was watching WrestleMania 1 with Hulk Hogan and Mr.T vs Roddy Piper and Mr.Wonderful with guest referee Muhammad Ali! I really stopped watching Wrestling shortly after that, but that was an amazing theatre.

RIP to the bad guy

on a related note, I've really been enjoying the series on this youtube channel that compares Monday Night Raw and WCW Nitro shows from the 90s. I stopped watching in the late 90s, but it's a nice trip down memory lane, and Scott Hall plays a prominent role (playlist is called reliving the war).
