OT Redwings or Spring Game??/
This evening, within about 10 minutes of each other I was given the opprotunity to go to both Michigan's spring game and game two of the Redwings playoff series.
I don't know what to do. Im leaning towards the Redwings, but my question for all my fellow Michigan* mgousers is what shall I do?
*for non michigan residents it would probably be easy to discount going to a Redwings game
Update: Im going to the wings game

definately, sounded crazy during the kill in the first!

when they killed the 2-man adv, we just came unglued. Swung the entire momentum of the game, IMO.

Wait, so let me get this straight:
This is a University of Michigan sports blog, but EVERYONE thinks that he should skip the UM event? I just find it a little humorous.

a lot of Michigan fans are also Detroit sports fans.
we are talking about practice. Not a game, but practice. The wings game actually means something, unlike the spring game. Plus with the crappy weather forecasted for saturday, makes this is an easy decision.
Or some of us may primarily watch the Bulls game instead of either of these two options

with the Bulls!
WINGS
Go to the Red Wings game.
The current era won't last forever. Enjoy as many playoff games as you can. In 10 years, the Wings could be like Toronto and struggle just to make the playoffs. The franchise once went 42 years without a Stanley Cup. Plus, you can DVR the spring game, and there's no way that it will get spoiled for you. Unlike the hockey game, where people will probably be chattering about it at the Spring Game.

because I feel it's my duty as a fan to support the team, even if in some infinitesimally small way.

Ya know, this may not be a popular opinion here, but I have only been to one spring game and it was actually a little boring after about half an hour. Yeah, it was fun and refreshing to see the time during the off-season, but the real good stuff from the Spring game comes afterward in the analysis on this blog and others. You made the right choice.

I hear what you're saying. I've been to a ton of Spring games. But they did get really boring the last 4-5 years of the Carr era. Most of the players were too injured to play and there was no actual "game" anymore. It used to be that you could go on the field afterwards to get the players autographs but that's not allowed anymore. I finally stopped going. Then RichRod was hired and they started the alumni football game and locker room tours so I started back up again.

This is just my opinion. All other sports are secondary to the University of Michigan athletics!

I've gone to 9 Spring games at the big house since the national championship season and it's always on the same day, same time as a Red Wings playoff game.
My dad and I usually just bring a hand radio in to the stadium to listen to the Wings.
Are you an alum?
Have you been to a Red Wings game already this year?
If the answer is yes to both, you should go to the spring game.
