OT: Pistons sign Boban
The Spurs aren't going to match what the Pistons offered the backup big man. All salary cap and basketball reasons don't matter. This is Boban, and he's Comin.... to your citayyyy
He has the biggest hands ever
Inigo Montoya wants to know how many fingers that goalie has on his right hand.
He wants to have an word with you over hand size.
I don't know how to embed photo but here is a link.

You know, I never really thought about that before, but holy crap...
I bet he has a huge dick!

Is he any good? I don't follow the NBA, but I'd bandwagon myself onto a legit Piston's championship run!
Really nice touch from outside and around the basket.
Very intriguing player. Obviously the 76ers are bad and should feel bad, but I love his little spin hook move. If he's consistent with it, then that is very difficult for a lot of teams to stop. Dunking is pretty effortless for him, too. Pretty happy with the signing, and he has a lot of potential as a backup center. He'll be a fan favorite coming off the bench.

That is Cally Jane Beech.
76% free throw shooter for those that claim extra large hands are at fault for poor free throw shooting.
Are large hands really the reason many people go to for big men that can't shoot well? I always personally assumed bigger guys struggled because of less coordination and/or more body to control during the shooting motion. Fatigue might be a factor, too. I would think bigger hands just give extra control.
At $7M/year he's a worthwhile gamble with high upside.
The Pistons wanted a long-term backup at the 5 since Baynes is in the last year of his deal after he opts out. With Leurer and Boban signed, Baynes becomes a quality trade chip given his suddenly reasonable cost.
Boban and Drummond should both benefit from practicing against one another.
I think it's a great move by SVG. From what I have read, they fully expect Baynes to test free agency after this year so signing Bobab for 3 years takes care of replacing Baynes after this year. And at $7 million a year, it will end up being a steal cosidering some of the other NBA contracts that have been given out this summer. The entire Pistons team, with the exception of Drummond, are all on really team friendly and reasonable contracts. SVG has done a solid job so far.
With his size, he's a nice addition to be a backup. Not really exciting, but still ok.
Guns don't kill people. Boban kills people.

Very unique skill set for someone his size. He just didn't really fit anything the Spurs needed, they had a logjam of big men. I think if you give him time, he can give you very quality minutes.
And you just can't teach that size.
DARKO!
