Lions taking on the Vikings on fox. Gutsy call by Motor City Dan Campbell to go for it on 4th and 5. Lions up 7-0.
I've been a Lions fan for 30 years and this is perhaps the most fun football team I've seen come out of the Motor City.
I think we have an outside shot at being a playoff team.

Cook’s gonna run for about 220 at this pace.

The Lions are on the march again.
September 25th, 2022 at 1:44 PM ^
They’re looking pretty good. The players look decisive, which is to say, well coached.

Dan Campbell is the right answer. The players absolutely love him and he’s got their respect. He won’t tolerate mediocrity or players taking plays off.
I dunno if they’re a playoff team this year but they are definitely on the way up.

To me, the average fool, sitting in my underwear on my couch, eating Cheetos, it's pretty simple.
Everyone in the NFL more or less runs the same stuff, so it boils down to two things:
1) If the players are playing hard for the coach, it's a personnel issue, not coaching.
2) If the players are NOT playing hard, that's a motivational issue, and that's on the coaching.
The players appear to be playing hard, so any issues are back to personnel.

And then, of course, Campbell goes and does shit like that at the end of the game. Go figure.

Go Bills!!!
September 25th, 2022 at 1:46 PM ^
The NFC North is definitely up for grabs. If they can go .500 outside the division, they have a good shot at January football.

Touchdown Lions. 14-0
September 25th, 2022 at 1:50 PM ^
Goff doing his best Cade McNamara game manager impression and the Lions haven’t looked this good in years.
As a cynical / jaded fan I’m just waiting for the collapse.
September 25th, 2022 at 1:55 PM ^
I love Tom Brady but I wish Fox would quit hyping up the Geriatric QB bowl that Brady and Rogers are going to play in later today.

Lions look good? Odd sentence to say
September 25th, 2022 at 2:11 PM ^
The inevitable Lions have a fun player so he must get hurt begins.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:12 PM ^
I really hate NFL refs sometimes, the way they try to manipulate these games...That 3rd and goal PI on Hughes was BS, and then Reynolds definitely had the first down on the ensuing position.

Lions going again on 4th down...
And they don't get it
September 25th, 2022 at 2:14 PM ^
You knew sooner or later the Lions were gonna dorf one of these 4th downs.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:29 PM ^
Carson Wentz might not survive the day. 5 sacks plus two fumbles already.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:31 PM ^
Dumbass Lions making Dirk Dousins look decent
September 25th, 2022 at 2:32 PM ^
SOL may be creepin on back
September 25th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
14-14 game at the half, but it feels like the Lions are down by at least one TD.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:54 PM ^
Lions going for it on 4th again
September 25th, 2022 at 2:55 PM ^
What a play by Goff
September 25th, 2022 at 3:00 PM ^
Lol NFL refs are so awful. Illegal contact past five yards that they have been calling all day on the Lions goes uncalled on the Vikings there.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:00 PM ^
Ummm, that is illegal celebration in the NFL? Really? I don't watch many Lions games, is the officiating usually this slanted against them?
September 25th, 2022 at 3:18 PM ^
One too many hip thrusts.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:18 PM ^
Jamaal Williams got flagged for too many hip thrusts just like the Key and Peele skit lol

O: 9-1-1, can I help you?
yeah, I’d like to report a kidnapping!
O: who was kidnapped and do you know who did it?
the lions. Somebody kidnapped the Detroit lions!
O: well sir, that really seems implausible.
I’ll tell you what’s implausible: they’re winning a game.
O: oh, sir, I think you’re overreacting
oh yeah?! It’s on the road….in Minnesota! In the second half. And they just got a turnover!
O: okay. We’ll send an investigative team out right now

Holy Cannoli it's Alex Anzalone
September 25th, 2022 at 3:35 PM ^
I know theres been a lot of talk about the Lions finding the QB of the future but Jared Goff is only 27 years old. He's looked really good for the Lions.
I'm just wondering if you wait to draft a QB until you can find the perfect guy for what you want to do.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:37 PM ^
They're going to have enough draft picks from fleecing the Rams to have enough flexibility to grab a high-end QB over the next 2 years or so.
Goff is adequate for now. But they're going to try to upgrade.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:23 PM ^
If getting fleeced means winning a Super Bowl, please fleece me every year from here on out.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:39 PM ^
I just have the feeling the Lions are going to need one more TD, to push the score into the 30s. I don't have confidence in this defense.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:40 PM ^
Lions averaging almost 4.5 yards a run today and deciding to throw the ball to close out the game.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:47 PM ^
I too question that 3rd down call..
September 25th, 2022 at 3:46 PM ^
Brandon Graham with 2.5 sacks today!
September 25th, 2022 at 3:56 PM ^
I never understood running a goal line formation on 4th and short, especially outside the red zone. You're bringing the entire defense in tight to the box, and everyone in the world knows what you're going to run. You're not giving yourself any space to operate.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:04 PM ^
Minnesota has no TOs. Obviously if you convert, we're done here. However...
If you run it here and don't convert, you punt and leave the Vikings at about the 15-20 yard line with 1:05 or so to go. If you pass and throw incomplete, you punt and leave them with 1:50 or so.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:06 PM ^
4th and 4, and it's about 53 yards for the FG. Now what?
September 25th, 2022 at 4:07 PM ^
Now that was piss poor coaching....
Punt the fucking ball there
September 25th, 2022 at 4:08 PM ^
I would've gone for it. I sure as shit wouldn't have tried the FG.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:08 PM ^
Go for it to try and put it away, wouldnt be mad if they dont get it
September 25th, 2022 at 4:08 PM ^
A missed 53 yard FG. Minnesota gets it at the 43, and they only need 25 yards.
This was a Dan Campbell fuck-up.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:09 PM ^
Minnesota is in field goal range...
September 25th, 2022 at 4:09 PM ^
Using the last TO here? This is Fuck Up II.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:09 PM ^
I would have rather they did anything except try to kick the field goal...theres no matt prater or jason hanson on this team
September 25th, 2022 at 4:11 PM ^
I think that ball quacked on the way to the uprights. It had no chance.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:10 PM ^
Touchdown Minnesota
45 seconds to play
Motherfucker
September 25th, 2022 at 4:10 PM ^
