Wings 4-2. Franzen continues his hot streak, Ozzie is serviceable as usual, another huge game from Jonathon Ericsson, Datsyuk ends his cold streak (he's due for a breakout). Hossa erases all doubt with an empty net goal with about 1-2 minutes left.

The wings cant control a rebound at all...Hiller has given up some VERY juicy rebounds but the puck has bounced the wrong way every time.

The octopus thing is like the hat thing: it's a great hockey tradition. Throwing trash on the ice doesn't fall in the same category.
I stand by what I said, but I have to admit the octopus has got to be super annoying to non-Redwings fans. Also, throw it before the game or after it if you're going to throw it, not in the middle and stop play.
Well the whole octopus thing is a tradition. It has a purpose. Throwing bottles, food, etc. on the ice probably does not have a purpose.
