Many are saying, " I have never seen a coach K, Duke team look like this before." I think what we did to them last week had lots to do with them playing badly in the second half.

Wish the Mich game had gone to OT, but starting from that Michigan comeback on, you could tell Duke was losing it. They went ice cold in that game, and they went ice cold in this game.

They only got 1 "Duke" call. The rest were real calls.
They don't play as well when they have to play without the refs on their side.
Fact: We would have beaten them with these refs.
I watched the highlights on CBS, and in a three-minute package there was one obvious travel on a Singler spin move and two instances where Duke defenders threw hockey checks into mid-air Arizona players - who proceeded to dunk on their sorry asses anyway. No fouls called.
Maybe that's a bad sample size, but it seems to me that Duke's amazing luck with officials was not absent after all.
Duke was getting a lot of favorable officiating last night, even during Arizona's 2nd half run.

I had a Duke-Notre Dame matchup for the championship game.

I got Col. Gaddafi winning over Mugabe in the first round and following that up with a crushing victory of Kim Jong Il. Heck I have him going all the way to the finals, I mean he got a lower seed than usual due to recent events but man I think that just motivated him to bring it.

I'd like to think this is an Arizona team we could have beaten; but if we couldn't rebound against Duke, how the hell would we pull one down against 'Zona? Duke outrebound UofM 31-18 and then turned around and got out-boarded 35-26 tonight. We would likely have had to shoot lights out to beat Derrick Williams and co.

Had at least three fouls go uncalled after he committed his fourth. I know it didn't matter, but I really wanted to see Singler foul out and walk over to the bench crying.

I know we're theoretically supposed to root for Duke to win it all so we can say we came that close to beating the national champions, but I like it better this way. If Duke had gone out and beat the shit out of Arizona all that would've done for me is make me even more pissed off we lost because three lousy points more and that could've been us stomping Arizona. At least this way all we lost was the right to run into that buzzsaw.
Since 1992, Duke has yet to make it to back-to-back Final Fours and in those years after reaching a Final Four, they have not made it past the Sweet 16.

What a terrible problem to have. I sure hope that never happens to us, amirite?
