OT??: Les Miles: Sexual Assault Allegation at LSU
I'm surprised no one was talking about Les Miles when the allegation first surfaced. LSU did their damnedest to sweep it under the rug. Maybe Coach Carr was right about Les Miles after all?
Players voted to keep it a secret.
/S
Because the boosters gave them Happy Meals.
Not really something to joke about. LM is not holding up his bargain as a Michigan Man.
It appears that "Coach" has been nibbling on more than grass.
Kansas you are on the clock...
"USA TODAY’s reporting prompted LSU to hire outside law firm Husch Blackwell in November to audit its handling of dozens of sexual misconduct cases since 2016."
Yep. They are looking into claims of sexual assault by football players under Orgeron's tenure, including Derrius Guice. All pretty much ignored or swept under the rug by Ed.
They have completed their investigation and the conclusions are going to be made public tomorrow. Stay tuned...
Amazes me what people will tolerate for fucking sports
Interesting choice of wording, bsand2053
They texted each other and arranged for a time to meet again. At some point, the two met off campus and she got into his car and drove around. During the ride, the student told investigators, Miles suggested “gas, grass, or ass....and that they go to a hotel together and mentioned his condo as another meeting place. He also complimented her on her appearance and said he was attracted to her.”
Miles also was accused by athletic department staff of saying that the female student workers who helped the football team lure top recruits needed to be attractive, blonde and fit, according to the investigative report.
What's Miles problem with brunettes???
....or redheads???
They lack souls.
Not true. They have the souls of their victims stored in their freckles.
The school should be sued for biased hiring practices. Miles wasn't acting alone.
**Urban Meyer sweating profusely**
There's a reason why Les was never going to be the coach here. This is in the neighborhood of why not.
Isn’t the rumor here in Ann Arbor that he slept with the wife of one of the coaches on staff with him?
Well now we know that Moeller's handle is not "HelloHeisman91".
None other than Gary Moeller's wife
Is that what he was yelling at her about at Excalibur?
How stunned the staff at the Excalibur must have been when it wasn't Bill Bonds they were trying to get to leave....
I think you just dated yourself with that reference.
That sounds like a Frames Janklin move! “I’ve been saying it for a long time, I will not hire an assistant until I see his wife."
Lloyd says, "told you so"
At this point, LSU football deserves the death penalty. The vile shit and NCAA violations coming out of that program just don't stop. Not to mention that the NCAA still has done nothing about Will Wade and LSU basketball
Not to worry. In response to this scandal, the NCAA will come down on Central Louisiana like radioactive brimstone hail.
Honestly, I know this is naivete, but you can't trust the guy to be around female students, and yet won't fire him because he wins football games?? Think about that. It's a fucking sport-- he's not the lead researcher on the new project to cure cancer. We care so little about the possibility of sexual harassment or assault that we won't even fire the fucking football coach after we know full well that's what he's going to do. I know it happens all the time, but for some reason I just can't stomach it today. This makes me sick.
At least there's a gross reason for keeping him on staff (money). There's not even a gross reason for keeping the physicians who did this stuff at MSU, UofM, OSU, probably every other place... Team doctors are a dime a dozen. Just go get another one. I don't get it in either case.

Larry Nassar was world-renowned.
That's good for bringing in athletes, medical school applicants, school prestige. It's always about the money.
Academia behind the scenes can be a gross place.
That's crazy because it sounds like he spent a lot more time assaulting those girls than he did treating them
So IF the leader researcher on the new project to cure cancer did this, would you fire him/her? I don't care two hoots either way. Just curious about your choice of example.
It was rumored that Miles did something with Gary Moellers wife and this is why Moeller had a drunken outburst which led to his dismissal putting Carr in as interim. Miles moved on of course to OSU but Michigan has done it’s fair share of sweeping under the rug to
If you're referring to Anderson, then yes. But I would not consider the rumored affair something that was swept under the rug given that Moeller's wife was not a university employee (at least I assume so) nor was she someone who Les had any power over
I’m not equating Moeller’s wife and the victims. Please do not take out of context for the purpose of having a post. I’m simply describing Miles character
Oh I certainly didn't mean to suggest you did. I just don't see how the Moeller/Miles thing could be "swept under the rug" since its not like anyone really had the right to know about it. Didn't really have anything to do with the institution
I assume Kansas will quietly try to get rid of him, but literally none of this is surprising or should surprise people.
Ironic - we didn't bring the Mad Hatter back home.
Funny how time reveals - - -
Go Blue.
"He said that he did nothing wrong and was simply mentoring young women at the university."
Yes, Les Miles the mentor. I wonder if they even bothered following this up with the obvious question "mentoring them in what?"
If this scandal forces Les into retirement then KU is going to have a really hard time winning games.
I could easily see losing less dropping their win total from 3-9 to 2-10 this season.
Imagine if they find stuff at Kansas too. They may have to vacate all of those wins under his watch.
If this is OT, it could bear the label “Thankfully OT.” Bullet dodged. *But not for the women at LSU.
I have long maintained that Bill Martin knew exactly what he was doing when he went out of touch on Stripes. Frankly, he could have been in touch if he had wanted to be, and if you have ever seen Stripes in person you’d understand.
Les Miles could not be the coach at Michigan and Martin knew it. Maybe they knew this stuff, specifically, went on. Maybe it was the rumored thing discussed elsewhere. Maybe it was other stuff, the loose ship known to be run at LSU. But Carr and Martin knew. And Martin made it not happen.
I heard rumors of the condo years ago. Didn't know if they were true but they certainly weren't unbelievable. It wasn't much of a secret and wouldn't have been hard to learn if anyone wanted to know.
absolutely. we dodged a bullet.
I wanted to make a joke considering my username but there’s just nothing funny about sexual assault. I hope justice is served.
Interesting points of view but let’s remember that Miles also gets a chance to explain his side as well as LSU. People on here are calling for his head and for the death penalty for LSU. Stop the knee jerk reactions and let everything come out before playing judge, jury, and executioner! We are quick in our society now to kill, crush and cancel without recognizing that we as individuals also have made mistakes and have character flaws. Let those among us without sin cast the first stone!!! If Miles and LSU truly hid this after all facts come out then let the punishment fall
This stuff happened years ago and Miles and LSU colluded to keep this quiet so it's not even a Miles' word vs LSU's word...they are on the same side on this.
As for public jury...powerful men get away w so much of this that it hardly seems to matter what the public thinks. In this case Miles knew this was out there but he continued to do this stuff anyway. The school knew this was out there and did basically nothing.
So it seem plain as day that he took advantage of his powerful role to at a min creep out young women w inappropriate behaviour. The leader of a group of young, testosterone driven men doing stupid shit like this should have had to face real consequences even if it wasnt illegal. Instead he's still coaching, making millions and "leading".
Wonder if he has daughters. What might they think of his behaviour.?
You can't shame people like this into change we have to do more and better to protect the vulnerable against power driven abuse.
So you were there personally and know this? Or this is your feelings after reading a newspaper article!
See the latest news...I stand by my comments.
Do you only believe that which you 'were there personally and know'?
I didn't think so.
Read the article, the school and Les were on the same team trying to keep this unwraps. No I wasn't in the negotiations when this happened.
I also believe man has been to the moon, The Artic Circle is cold and there are hot women in Brazil and I've never been to any of those places personally.
Except he fucked his Coach and mentors wife, so yah, he doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt. He’s been shown to make bad decisions for some nooky.
something just never change
If change means convicting a person and ruining their lives before they have a chance to defend themselves then I want none of it. This is regressive thinking instead of being progressive.
