"USA TODAY’s reporting prompted LSU to hire outside law firm Husch Blackwell in November to audit its handling of dozens of sexual misconduct cases since 2016."

Yep. They are looking into claims of sexual assault by football players under Orgeron's tenure, including Derrius Guice. All pretty much ignored or swept under the rug by Ed.

They have completed their investigation and the conclusions are going to be made public tomorrow. Stay tuned...

They texted each other and arranged for a time to meet again. At some point, the two met off campus and she got into his car and drove around. During the ride, the student told investigators, Miles suggested “gas, grass, or ass....and that they go to a hotel together and mentioned his condo as another meeting place. He also complimented her on her appearance and said he was attracted to her.”

Miles also was accused by athletic department staff of saying that the female student workers who helped the football team lure top recruits needed to be attractive, blonde and fit, according to the investigative report.

What's Miles problem with brunettes???

At this point, LSU football deserves the death penalty. The vile shit and NCAA violations coming out of that program just don't stop. Not to mention that the NCAA still has done nothing about Will Wade and LSU basketball

Honestly, I know this is naivete, but you can't trust the guy to be around female students, and yet won't fire him because he wins football games??  Think about that.  It's a fucking sport-- he's not the lead researcher on the new project to cure cancer.  We care so little about the possibility of sexual harassment or assault that we won't even fire the fucking football coach after we know full well that's what he's going to do.  I know it happens all the time, but for some reason I just can't stomach it today.  This makes me sick.

There's not even a gross reason for keeping the physicians who did this stuff at MSU, UofM, OSU, probably every other place... Team doctors are a dime a dozen.  Just go get another one.

Larry Nassar was world-renowned.

That's good for bringing in athletes, medical school applicants, school prestige. It's always about the money.

Academia behind the scenes can be a gross place.

It was rumored that Miles did something with Gary Moellers wife and this is why Moeller had a drunken outburst which led to his dismissal putting Carr in as interim. Miles moved on of course to OSU but Michigan has done it’s fair share of sweeping under the rug to

If you're referring to Anderson, then yes.  But I would not consider the rumored affair something that was swept under the rug given that Moeller's wife was not a university employee (at least I assume so) nor was she someone who Les had any power over

Oh I certainly didn't mean to suggest you did.  I just don't see how the Moeller/Miles thing could be "swept under the rug" since its not like anyone really had the right to know about it.  Didn't really have anything to do with the institution

"He said that he did nothing wrong and was simply mentoring young women at the university."

Yes, Les Miles the mentor. I wonder if they even bothered following this up with the obvious question "mentoring them in what?"

If this is OT, it could bear the label “Thankfully OT.” Bullet dodged. *But not for the women at LSU.

I have long maintained that Bill Martin knew exactly what he was doing when he went out of touch on Stripes. Frankly, he could have been in touch if he had wanted to be, and if you have ever seen Stripes in person you’d understand.

Les Miles could not be the coach at Michigan and Martin knew it. Maybe they knew this stuff, specifically, went on. Maybe it was the rumored thing discussed elsewhere. Maybe it was other stuff, the loose ship known to be run at LSU. But Carr and Martin knew. And Martin made it not happen.

Interesting points of view but let’s remember that Miles also gets a chance to explain his side as well as LSU. People on here are calling for his head and for the death penalty for LSU. Stop the knee jerk reactions and let everything come out before playing judge, jury, and executioner! We are quick in our society now to kill, crush and cancel without recognizing that we as individuals also have made mistakes and have character flaws. Let those among us without sin cast the first stone!!! If Miles and LSU truly hid this after all facts come out then let the punishment fall

This stuff happened years ago and Miles and LSU colluded to keep this quiet so it's not even a Miles' word vs LSU's word...they are on the same side on this.

As for public jury...powerful men get away w so much of this that it hardly seems to matter what the public thinks. In this case Miles knew this was out there but he continued to do this stuff anyway. The school knew this was out there and did basically nothing.

So it seem plain as day that he took advantage of his powerful role to at a min creep out young women w inappropriate behaviour.  The leader of a group of young, testosterone driven men doing stupid shit like this should have had to face real consequences even if it wasnt illegal. Instead he's still coaching, making millions and "leading".

Wonder if he has daughters.  What might they think of his behaviour.?

You can't shame people like this into change we have to do more and better to protect the vulnerable against power driven abuse.

See the latest news...I stand by my comments.

Do you only believe that which you 'were there personally and know'?

I didn't think so.

Read the article, the school and Les were on the same team trying to keep this unwraps. No I wasn't in the negotiations when this happened.

I also believe man has been to the moon, The Artic Circle is cold and there are hot women in Brazil and I've never been to any of those places personally.
