OT - Keith Nichol
Local TV had Damntonio announcing that Nichol will now be a WR on the MSU roster.
Being from Western Michigan, I really wanted this kid to succeed at OK and was disappointed when he transferred. I know kids can change their minds, but had he stayed, with Bradford getting hurt... Now he's a WR at MSU? I think this stinks for him.
Ask Jason Forcier about transferring not always working out
Never heard of him.
He's also listed as the back up QB. This is a just a way for him to get on the field. Good for him.
Regarding his transfer, if he isn't good enough to beat out Cousins, do you think he would have been good enough to lead Oklahoma?
The competition between Sam Bradford (as a redshirt freshman) and Keith Nichol (as a true freshman) went down to the last day of fall practice. I don't think being "good enough" was his problem. His problem at MSU was trying to unseat MSU's first sophomore captain in forever. The team just didn't play the same behind Nichol as it did behind Cousins.

what makes you think he could lead Oklahoma?
The backup last year and starter this year (Landry Jones) was also the #3 rated QB in the nation coming out of HS.

Landry is one of my favorite Friday Night Lights characters. He's great.

your opinion but it was pretty evident that Cousins gave MSU the best chance to win (Being married to an MSU fan, I have watched more MSU games than I can stand).
Why doesn't Dantonio just re-instate Plaxico Burress, Mark Ingram Sr. and Charles Rogers?? All three are almost out of jail.

'Reinstate' is one word, not a hyphenated word. But don't worry; it won't be the last time a Spartan has to correct a Wolverine on spelling/grammar usage.
FWIW, Mark Ingram Sr. won't be going anywhere for a while (I think he got 8 years). And Plaxico won't be out until Sept. 2011 if he does not gain an early release. God, I want to kill myself, I'm correcting someone on how long various ex-Spartans will be in jail.

Become familiar with it.

Unless the grammatical error is a focal point of the post, I usually leave well enough alone since I am aware that I make my share of miscues. You might want to stick to debating the content and not something as trivial as an unnecessary hyphen because your post wasn't exactly error free. Friendly advice. Take it or leave it.

I was referring to correcting people on the terms of the Spartan jail sentences.

is in the right spot.... as a reply to Token, not you.

Oops. I probably should have clarified in the my post anyway. No harm, no foul. Still Mgofriends?
Lets hug it out?

How did you miss that? My favorite part is you started your lesson today by beginning a sentence with a conjunction, which you're not supposed to do(that's just priceless). However, I appreciate the grammar lesson. Thanks for showing your great sense of humor, and removing the stick from your ass, for a moment to comment on a mis-placed hyphen included in an obvious joke. By the way, I put that hyphen in "misplaced" for humor. So you don't need to bother with another ridiculous post.

"These peanuts are making me thirsty"
What about the pretzels?
Haha nice catch.. sorry I'm an idiot. That is all

Cue the freep saying that Dantonio is smarter than RR for moving his WR QB first.
March 24th, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
and it stated that Nichol is the #2 QB AND the #1 X receiver??? (extra question marks for emphasis....or due to the shakes...). This situation is why I'm a little worried about Denard moving all over the field. Forcier was injured last year, and I just can't see a good ending to the story if Denard tweaks an ankle or knee making a cut as a WR/SR/RB/Ninja Assasin and Forcier gets Morelli'd by a big beef eater. That would mean Vince 2.010 would have to come in and save everyone's hide.
Nichol transferred because he was the third stringer at OU. No way he would have won the job from Landry Jones IMO.
Yes he would not have beaten out Jones, but Nicol competed against Bradford, the RS Sophomore, and Joey Halzle, the Senior, when he was there. Sorry for the commas but Jones had not arrived in Norman by that point.

I was so tired of all the "We should move Nichol to receiver, he has way too much athleticism and speed to be on the bench" threads.
