You took a run at my team and my teams support. Then doubled down and called me a Sparty which is a pretty pathetic shot. All of this is rich because I've stood at Highbury and heard your support do the gas chamber hiss at me and chant about Hitler at me. So genuinely go fuck yourself.
It was two jokes, calm down. I sarcastically pointed out you were acting like a Spartan... if that's all it takes to push you over the edge, then good grief. Unfortunately, I have no control and take no responsibility over hooliganism or English football culture... Obviously, I would not yell those things at you because those are awful things to say.
There's no malice on my end. You're a Michigan fan and you're obviously a huge soccer fan, so you're ok in my book, regardless of what side of the NL derby you come down on. I'd even buy you a drink if we were at the pub.
By the way, I'm also not the first person to make the Tottenham/MSU comparison: http://www.thechampaignroom.com/2013/1/4/3836580/open-bar-big-ten-football-teams-as-premier-league-teams.
(that moment when everyone at school looks at me when I literally laugh out loud while reading MGoBlog on my computer)
As a fellow Gooner, I fully support your stance here. Spurs fans have one year to talk shit when they finish above Arsenal for the first time in 20 years!!! If only Michigan could exhibit this dominance in football over Sparty for 20 consectutive years in the Big Ten...
Typical plastic gooner doesn't know his premier league to B1G comparisons. West Ham or any team big sam coaches would be sparty
Cubs fans be like...
WHY GOD WHY
#ForeverAlone
CUBS fans....it CAN happen
I saw the score was 2-0 at the half and stopped checking in.
Congratulations. Oh to be in a Leicester pub on this evening...
Great job for LC!!! I am a big Man City fan, and I hope we can pull off a major upset in Madrid on Wed.

Good news for my Newcastle if we can stay up!
Love you, my fellow turkey. Alan Shearer will always be my favorite EPL player.
That is crazy. Not even Liverpool has won an EPL title.
Well, that's like saying that Michigan hasn't won a Big Ten title because we haven't won the Big Ten Championship Game.
The EPL was just a rebranding of the old top-flight league.
ESPN has a collection of various longshots and the odds at the time.

At 5,000-1, you find such gems as:
- • Elvis is found alive.
- • Yeti or Loch Ness Monster is proven to exist.
- • Christmas is the warmest day of the year in England.
- • Kanye West and Kim Kardashian name their next child Sinner.
- • Kim Kardashian becomes the U.S. president in 2020.
- • Barack Obama plays cricket for England after he leaves Oval Office.

finding the remains of Richard III (Last English King to die in battle 1485) and having him re-interred in Leicester Cathedral back in March 2015.
btw- it was really fun to be a 9 year-old Mets fan back in 1969...watched Game 5 in my second grade gym class. Prior to that miracle year the Mets had never even had a winning season...!
at the Battle of Bosworth Field on the 22nd of August 1485 concluding the Wars of the Roses.
and now this. Something is in the waters in Leicester.
No, wait, don't. Your team is still owned by Henry Ford's feebleminded descendents.
Would be great to see the whole team come back next year for Leicester and just add a few pieces for depth or a starter or two, Afraid the team may be broken up if Kante, Vardy, Marhez or Schmeichel get their contracts bought out.

It wasn't an underdog vs a goliath. This was a team that frankly was the best team in the EPL all year.

Dude, its the biggest upset champ of a pro sports league ever, given the money, the disparity in history and resources, etc. That they ayer better than the London and Manchester teams doesnt mean its not an upset.

Maybe we have a MGoSpots historian to fill you in.
1969 Mets 100 to 1
1980 Miracle on Ice US hockey team to win gold 1000 to 1
Leicester City to wim Premier title 5000 to 1
unfreaking believable.

As a Tottenham fan I want to say two things:
1. This is an awesome story and I am really glad an outsider team has won the title and, at least for one year, shaken up the Premiership.
2. FUCK!
I decided to finally get on board. I'm glad I did. I even chose a primary rooting interest -- Crystal Palace, by sheer virtue of the fact that I liked the name; it called to mind a reference from one of my favorite movies of all-time, Wargames. An interesting season for the ol' Eagles, that's for sure. It sure started well and good enough...
Anyway...I couldn't help but also heartily root for Leicester this season. They were truly fun to watch, and this is coming from someone who is almost a complete novice to the game itself. So many nuances are lost on me -- but hey, I'll learn.
I'm also really looking forward to Chelsea v. Real Madrid at the Big House. Should be fun!
A post about Leicster city on mgoblog I must be dreaming. I have been following Leicester for some time now and trying to watch lower divison games in america is hard enough as is but I was excited when they got promoted to the premier league and thought yaaaa buddy finally can watch more of the games, and then the sadness of them finishing 14th place really didn't bother me to much because I knew Nigel Pearson would get sacked after the season ended because the attitude around the camp wasn't the greatest. What Leicester did was show true heart and commitment wins championships not just players you bought with bucket loads of cash. The toughest part they face is trying to keep their super star players on the team but no matter what happens #Foxes4Life
"We" "Our" "Us" when referring to ENGLAND'S soccer teams.

Great story. People criticize their playing style and I disagree. They know what they are and they know what they're not. Their organization was fantastic and Schmeichel was an amazing distributor this season.
I don't expect them to win again next year but I think they'll have another good season.
Also, Tottenham lost out on 17 points this season because they blew leads. They were up against Stoke, @Leicester, @Arsenal, @WBA, Arsenal, WBA, and @Chelsea and drew all those matches. They were up against Newcastle United and lost that match. Get half those points back and they're controlling their own destiny.
