The season is over and what he does in the final week isn't going to change anyone's mind. So if you're going to fire him, just do it now. Would be doing the guy a favor in a way since he'd be getting a reported $12M pink slip and he'd get to spend the holiday's with his family.

I still think Stafford is very talented, young, and that you can win with him. However his mechanics have fallen apart the past two years. So I say bring in an established QB coach to give him a chance to turn it around, If he has a good QB coach, and he still doesn't show signs of improvement, you then have to start looking for better options.

Only keep Joique Bell, Megatron and the defensive line. Just have a nice sit down dinner at mid-field next week with the Vikings. Start scouting QBs in the draft that aren't a very poor man's version of Brett Favre.

the Lions have ever done. Dude is only 25. Get him an offensively-minded coach who will work with him. If he fails then, okay. But the Lions cannot get rid of him. Not with his contract and not with him still being only 26 when next season begins.

I forget the analyst that made it, but on NBC's show they brought up that they thought Stafford had too much freedom in the offense, and that freedom leads to his reckless behavior with the ball. Would be interesting to see how he did under an OC/head coach that reigned him in a bit.

Reggie was pretty good this year too. The coach is the main problem. Its the penalties and lack of "finishing" that cost this team this year. Turnovers obviously played a major role too, but thats a different story.

Besides the massive fumbling problem, yes he is quite good. I don't know what to do with guys like that. You want him for his talent, but he's had that problem his whole career it seems.

We should literally just waive Stafford, sign Tebow and bring Charles Rogers back. Get Wayne Fontz back on the sideline, maybe put Cecil Fielder at center and Kid Rock can be the offensive coordinator.

Nobody is yelling and the majority of people are in agreement on what should be done. We have a great team base, just need a coach to orchestrate some discipline and get back to some fundamental corrections. Lions won 7 games with the most TO's and most dropped passes. Fix that crap and we're converting more 3rd downs, sustaining drives, and making a playoff run.

Yeah, this is easily the most talented and underperforming roster in the NFL. Drive-killing penalties and dumb turnovers are the difference between where we're at and having already locked up our spot in the playoffs.

The young OL members have shown some great potential. I assumed going into the season that the right side of the line was going to be a liability, but Warford and Waddle played well. I would eliminate them from your proposed purge list.

If you knew you were a dead man walking, wouldn't you want to be fired BEFORE Christmas and not after? If they fire him tonight or Monday, he can spend the holiday's with his family plus he'd be getting a big ol' fat severance check. That's a win-win in my book.
I'd be much cruler to fire him after the season.
