Watching a little bit of the celebrity all-star game. Observations:

- Moné Davis and Kevin Hart are both completely overexposed. But watching Davis school Hart was pretty funny.

- The lead singer for Arcade Fire is a Baller.

- So is the owner of the Memphis Grizzlies.

- Paralympic athlete Blake Leeper is amazing to watch.

So, there are enough interesting characters involved this year that I'll probably watch unitl halftime, but overall these things are horrendously bad television.

Kudos to the graphic design folks who branded the All-Star weekend. Cool subway system-inspired motif.

Any homebrewers out there? I have been doing it for a number of years, all grain. If anyone out there is local to the Rochester, MI area and wants to brew (or to learn how), contact me.

re Stouts. They hide many flaws. Not to say that your beer will have flaws. Ha.

For that reason, light lagers are the hardest.

I think that you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of your beers.

Go all grain, if you can. Trust me, not that hard, and the quality of your beers will increase immensely.

are always good. Cherish them while you have them. Meantime the baker in Madison goes with a couple Two Hearted followed by the trusty Pranqster from North Coast brewery. Simple and a bit boring but it gets anyone cranked to watch hockey vs the gophers.

....and will be cold to the point of outside being not a good idea this weekend, I've locked myself in here with some Marques de Caceres and, for the time being, "Constantine" so I can troll my wife on Twitter with what is happening on the show right now. Yes, this is how you show people you love them if you're me. Fortunately, no promise of "functional" was in the vows, right?

Working on man cave in basement so can't get too inebriated. Bad to put up walls, do electric and plumbing while hammered. Things tend to not work and be out of square.

Homebrew (American wheat ale) and 3 olives grape vodka tomorrow after my son and I get back from the indoor driving range.

My Understanding is that these days lead in pewter must be under a specific safety threshold as regulated by the FDA. So I would assume that this mug meets those standards (normal risk of assuming notwithstanding). Also as a point of note, my mug isn't just pewter. It is a blend of mostly pewter with aluminum and tin as well, not sure if that would change anything,

The temperature is hovering around zero right now (and more snow on the way!), so I'm trying to pretend it's summer. Having a Miller Lite with a healthy splash of Polar Orange Dry. I guess I'd call it a shandy, but it definitely has an ersatz Blue Moon kind of vibe.
