In their defense, I can’t see this being a consideration until it’s pointed out to them and it’s going to be fun watching them catch some shit for this.

I really can't see anyone caring about the date this much. Sometimes - and I know this can be hard to comprehend in these days of outrage - things are just a coincidence.

From a marketing perspective it’s a brilliant idea. You know how much publicity that is going to get? It’s free advertising just on the sole fact that it got you to post about it. I’m sure many others will talk about it too after seeing the news story.

From an impressions standpoint, it's brilliant. However, when the impressions are negative the conversion to sales could be negatively impacted. Time will tell.

Don't know about you, but this doesn't make me want to buy a Bronco, or any Ford vehicles.

It's not as though they chose the day he had the low-speed chase in a Bronco.  That would be a bit more curious.

That's actually brilliant marketing on their part.  Hopefully OJ himself notices and gets pissed about it, it'll be trending on Twitter and give the launch more free publicity.

You seem like a pretty whiny individual. I would guess 99.9% of American society does not know what day is OJ's birthday. Ford's leadership is no exception. This story is nothing.

I would think it's a problem only if you think OJ was innocent and was railroaded by the justice system.

Otherwise, great timing and free publicity if folks draw attention to it.

They could have debuted it on June 17 (Wednesday).  That is the day the Ford Bronco became famous after all.

99.9% of folks don't know OJ's birthday.  Non-story IMO.

The world has already had a reality TV show in which OJ tried selling the actual white Bronco, so accidentally scheduling the debut on his birthday doesn't seem like it's going to be a huge blunder.

No, really.

That's just hilarious, in a sick and twisted way. You know that isn't by mistake.  Genius marketing move. All they now need is the first 10 autographed by him!
