Couldn't possibly agree more.  Got towed out of the yellow parking lot at Division and Hill during grad school when I lived around the corner.

The tow company said I didn't have a permit.  At the tow lot, there was my car, with a valid permit, still hanging from my rearview mirror.

Went to the AA police (after I reported my car stolen, because what else would I think), they told me there was nothing they could do.

Cost me $180.

Thankfully, I wasn't a TV personality with the things I said to the degenerates at the tow lot.

very funny (and telling*) that she says "I'm on TV" as like the definitive statement of ultimate success and the absolute dispositive peice of information that "wins" her the argument.  Nothing could define her generation's idea of the meaning of life more than that statement.

It is actually like the TMZ guy "I'm a lawyer."

I'M ON TV! - game, set, match.

And also, if you've lived enough life, chances are, you've been in a situation where your car has been towed for a bullsh*t reason.

Doesn't excuse what she said (her lack of self-awareness & inflated view of being on TV is glaring), but those towing companies can bring out the worst in people. Not a coincidence they're usually behind glass of some sort.

I was visiting a friend in Chicago a day after a big snow storm about 15 yrs ago. We unknowingly parked my car next to a fire hydrant that was buried in snow. It was gone within the hour, almost like they know it's going to happen and they just drive around the city after storms scooping up cars. Fuckers.

Doesn't matter. There's no reason to be the kind of mean she was doing no matter what the other person was saying. Your line of thinking is why people get into ridiculous fights and ,more generally, society has never ending conflict. Just because someone does something petty to you is not a justification to do it back.
