Best 11th ranked team I’ve ever seen.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:12 PM ^
Yeah, Dabo might just move them up to # 10 now.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:14 PM ^
I’m sure he’d offer a lot of Buckeye players $300k after tonight’s game.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:30 PM ^
But they’re already being paid $400k to be at OSU.
January 2nd, 2021 at 11:58 AM ^
That gun was pointed at UM, I’m not disappointed The Game was cancelled.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:12 PM ^
OSU has mastered the art of looking like shit against average teams and then turning it on against the very best. It's fucking annoying. Fields wastes his interceptions against NW and IU, and then when he plays Clemson he looks like the fucking 1st overall pick he was supposed to be
I have zero faith in Bama given the last time they matched up. Fuck football
January 1st, 2021 at 10:15 PM ^
I am in agreement 100% on the last two words of your comment. I never want to watch again.
January 2nd, 2021 at 1:35 AM ^
I was just thinking to myself how Ohio State is ruining football.
Those asshole fans don't deserve this success. . .
Fuck them all
January 2nd, 2021 at 8:14 AM ^
Shouldn’t we consider NW an above average team the way they handled the amazingly awesome SEC team? Can we wait to see how Indiana plays today? So far the Big 10 has looked good in bowl games.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:13 PM ^
I completely agree with this. There is NO WAY they lose now. Game Over.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:30 PM ^
If the OP jinxed the buckeyes, he’ll likely have to go 10 Saturday’s without Dr Pepper
January 1st, 2021 at 10:13 PM ^
I ? hate em.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:13 PM ^
I must admit I will feel dirty rooting for Alabama but life leaves me no choice.
January 1st, 2021 at 11:06 PM ^
Hmmmm, would I rather get kicked in the nuts, or get kicked in the nuts? Difficult
January 2nd, 2021 at 9:31 AM ^
I would root for anyone over Ohio state
January 2nd, 2021 at 10:08 AM ^
Well said, Chaco. The other possible option of rooting for COVID would be even worse.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:14 PM ^
Not watching the game, but I’m actually glad. Might get negged for that given the overall rivalry thing. But if I’m being honest we haven’t been a real rival for OSU in a long time, and I really hate Dabo. Given both teams are semi-pro cheats, I’ll root for the one that doesn’t have Dabo at the helm.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:37 PM ^
The players seem to like Dabo. He can recruit and coach. He brought Clemson up from the ashes. We need a dabo type
January 1st, 2021 at 10:50 PM ^
Helps to have bonafide first round draft picks at QB.
Watson and then Lawrence. Heck they benched a guy who took them to the '17 national title game to play Lawrence.
January 1st, 2021 at 11:31 PM ^
They have another top QB on the roster already in DJ Uiagaleilei. He played a little this year so he should be ready to go for next year. Clemson gets to reload again and likely make it to the playoff.
To be clear, Kelly Bryant didn't take them to the 2017 Championship game but they did make it to the semi-final and lost to Bama. That was the year Bama beat Georgia in OT if I'm not mistaken.
January 1st, 2021 at 11:38 PM ^
He's also the most entitled jerk in a press conference I've ever heard. I mean ranking OSU 11th? What a prick.
The guy acts like he's god's gift to mankind because he's won a couple championships. You coach football dude! You're not out there saving people's lives or something that really matters!
Also if OSU wins it is good for the reputation of the Big Ten. If they continue to lose to Clemson the committee may become skeptical of anyone who wins the conference in the future.
January 2nd, 2021 at 1:33 PM ^
That's true but also it's the ACC. Who besides Clemson is any good? Last season I believe Clemson was the only ranked team in the conference.
January 1st, 2021 at 11:23 PM ^
There is no evidence Ohio State cheats. Football just clearly means more for them and they have higher expectations than Michigan. If OSU’s coach had Harbaugh’s record, half their fan base wouldn’t be trying to make the argument that there is nobody better they can get.
January 1st, 2021 at 11:44 PM ^
Read the "bag man" article. There will never be direct evidence, that is how theh operate and every school has a bag man network.
January 1st, 2021 at 11:56 PM ^
Every team except Michigan, I assume? We’re just holier than thou and our coaches are just as good as theirs, but we won’t stoop to their level?
January 2nd, 2021 at 12:17 AM ^
You miss the point. The bag men have no official ties to their school and are essentially upper middle income earners whose hobby is doing whatever they can to help the team. These guys are essentially larping as spies with burner phones and secret meetings. It is kinda pathetic in my opinion. So there is no "we" or "them". I'm sure some UM super fans are bag men.
January 2nd, 2021 at 12:39 AM ^
So then if that’s true, the playing field is even in that regard.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:14 PM ^
Let’s direct our anger against the team that has beaten us like a drum since 2000 instead of at ourselves for accepting the inevitable. Our football program is lost.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
It’s a new year and you know what rises eternal
January 1st, 2021 at 10:55 PM ^
Crushed M fandom?
January 1st, 2021 at 10:56 PM ^
My... wang?
January 2nd, 2021 at 10:29 AM ^
Steam off piles of shit?
January 1st, 2021 at 10:15 PM ^
Indiana should have some beef. Definitely got hosed on a NY6 day bowl game. Only loss will be to a team playing in title game. Had a shot to win with a minute left on the road.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:18 PM ^
Sucks to suck. Big Ten east margin of error is literally zero, so teams that don't go all the way aren't going to get rewarded like they should. Same principle as when MSU went to an outback bowl or whatever in 2011 because they lost in the big ten title game
Bowl invites are unfortunately about big names and not results. Another reason the sport is broken
January 2nd, 2021 at 9:08 AM ^
The Bowl's usually select teams that travel well/have a large fanbase so they can get the most eyes/tickets sold as possible for their game. It's about ad revenue and ticket sales, plain and simple (more-so ad revenue this year than ticket sales obviously).
January 1st, 2021 at 10:16 PM ^
I'm at the point where, if it doesn't directly involve Michigan, I just plain don't care. The NCAA and ESPN's quest to get more money have ruined the game over these past 10 years.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:46 PM ^
I still like watching regular season college football, but feel similarly numb to these playoff games in antiseptic NFL stadiums between programs that feel more like corporations than college teams. Like rooting for Amazon or Walmart.
January 2nd, 2021 at 8:53 AM ^
I agree. And what with money floating around for NIL, legislative/social pressure to pay athletes directly for their service, relaxed transfer rules, and early enrollments leading to grad transferring with multiple years of remaining eligibility, player mobility between programs is going to increase. And usually that leads to the rich getting richer
I'm not being judgmental about all the things that have changed and will change. All I'm saying is that the "old days" aren't coming back. And that includes UM being a national football power, at least anytime in the foreseeable future.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:17 PM ^
They will beat Alabama too
January 1st, 2021 at 10:41 PM ^
You obviously have never, and I do mean ever watched an Alabammy game. They will never get called for a hold. And they will also never get called for obvious pass interferences. If you’d like I’d like to bet your stimulus check that Osu loses by at least two scores.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:45 PM ^
Your wrong BO. What the hell are you watching right now? Watching a shitty Michigan program for so long has caused even more delusion in your peanut sized brain
January 1st, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
Maybe they are just, you know, good?
January 1st, 2021 at 10:54 PM ^
You should watch Bama just to see Najee play. He is incredible
January 2nd, 2021 at 10:08 AM ^
I was lamenting that he didn't come here, but then realized we wouldn't have had a chance to see what he was capable of if he did.
Also, best move we made was not playing osu this year.
January 2nd, 2021 at 12:09 PM ^
Najee is awesome. I would have put him higher in the Heisman rankings.
January 2nd, 2021 at 1:08 AM ^
I am pretty sure that OSU is going to beat Alabama. It seems inevitable. I truly feel that not only will OSU win but they will win by at least 14 points.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:18 PM ^
They are good - but their fans are still the worst. And they still are far more obsessed with us than we are with them. Their pathology is... pathetic.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:23 PM ^
You pretending they are obsessed with us while they are competing for a national title is way more pathetic imo.
January 1st, 2021 at 10:35 PM ^
We can respectfully disagree - I think, anyways
January 1st, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
? we can. Happy New Year to you and your family!
