OSU Fans rallying for Meyer
TL;DR? I'd rather not feed that shitpile more traffic.
Students and fans are holding a protest/rally to support and protect Meyer, say he did nothing wrong and it's all a media hit job. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect.
I'm not gonna defend my cesspool fanbase in this instance, but from the photos, the rally was very small and I'd be very surprised if there were any alumni, let alone students, involved. The petition is a different story

Can we do a daily Snowflakes thread where people can post all their thoughts and updates on the Meyer situation? I generally come here to read about Michigan, not about OSU. I think the board and Brian have fully fleshed out the fact that Meyer is a piece of shit and that this is more important than football. At this point it is just beating a dead horse as we wait 2 weeks for the investigators’ findings.
I agree, all we really need is one OSU mega-thread for news/feelings until the situation is resolved.

Meyer is not going anywhere. If had Hoke’s record then he’d be gone, but Meyer doesn’t and is competing every year for a championship and so will not be fired. EVER.

Yeah I know. Harbaugh has three more losses than Meyer already, in three fewer seasons.
I would kind of love if OSU did the wrong thing and kept him, then he went 5-7 the next couple years.

I get it if there's actual news to report but I think 13 of them have been basically "MY VERY IMPORTANT THOUGHTS ON THE SITUATION AT OHIO STATE" type threads.

Reality is that he may get off free and this has nothing to do with how much Michigan bloggers complain.
The story doesn't have legs, most mainstream doesn't care. If there aren't perp walks on TV or victims on The View or GMA or "Today" then nobody cares. No celebrities or politicians are tweeting about it.
The fact is nobody got payed to play - which NCAA mostly cares about, and it's a very thin Title IX case as no students or players are affected.

A rally in this situation isn't in the best of taste obviously, but hey, it is Columbus we're talking about and they do have a knack for doing things that are certainly not tasteful

It’s remarkable how the attitude of the fan base changed after Meyer’s statement. At first I was pleasantly surprised by the fan reaction. But it’s almost like after Meyer made his case the fans latched onto the hope of keeping him and have been a lot more like... well... OSU fans.

I just checked out the Twitter pics and video from today's jock sniffing rally for Urban Lair.
The video was like a car wreck...I couldn't look away! The leader - something called "Tennesse Jeff" showed off his wannabe cheerleader skills for approximately 100 fellow delusional THE Ohio State/Urban Lair supporters.
I haven't laughed so hard in months.
