Ironically, Stacy Elliott (Ezekiel Elliott's father) was there to provide testimony to Urban's integrity and position on domestic violence. Ezekiel Elliott may or may not have been involved in a domestic dispute (wasn't arrested by Columbus PD), but he did serve a six-game suspension in the NFL, last year, surrounding the allegations. Not who I'd want to be going to bat for me, if I'm Urban Meyer.
They couldn't possibly have chosen a better person to interview than Stacy Elliott. The optics are priceless.
