No. I can't believe he hasn't taken the time to develop a mid range game. I have never seen him shoot a jumper, let alone one from 8 - 10 feet.
His release is too slow. Its why he had to develop the hook shot, pulling up for a jumper with his wind up is going to be contested everytime.
Who shoots jumpers from 8-10 feet? Those are usually floaters or one more dribble and a layup. Zavier Simpson is a better shooter than all of us, and it’s not even close. It’s just not his game, much like getting into the lane and finishing isn’t Brooks’ game, and pick and pop isn’t Davis’ game.
I hope he at least gets a summer league tryout. I'd imagine Juwan has the contacts to help him with that. With how hard he plays and how most nba players dog it on defense 90% of the time regular season, I think he could be serviceable on at least a G League roster as a poor man's Patrick Beverly type.

But they take online classes and that will inevitably involve more balls in the baskets for them. I think I'll just remove my backbone and refuse to discuss basketball if we lose.

CONCLUSION: online classes taken by tutors don't help you to become more proficient at figuring shit out.

5.8, 1.4 rebounds. Both forwards.
Young is their second best player according to Torvik. Big time rebounder. Gaffney is not good and is not much of a loss. They are very thin today.
Young's a real loss for them; his likely replacement (Liddell) is a freshman with mediocre, at best, offensive production.
It's going to be a grind, but if Brooks is back that's a definite advantage for UM with these two out.
Based on how this season has played out, I'll go ahead and pencil Liddell in for a career high. 4-4 from 3, with one off the backboard

Liddell is an absolute beast around the basket. Grabs a lot of boards and good at finishing through contact. If he and Wesson are in together it'll be pretty difficult for us to matchup without going to the double big lineup.
Hopefully our 3's are falling early so they won't be able to use them both together as much.
Young is a hustle player similar to Livers, but not quite the 3pt threat. Glad he's not in the lineup.
You forgot the part where he sucks. He’s a fouling machine against skilled players and he rarely takes good shots! I hope he plays the whole game.
Beilein was after Young if I recall. He’s a solid grit guy. Definitely hurts them a bit to still have him out.
One must really have to fuck up to be suspended for one game at OSU, especially against Michigan.
Big loss for OSU. Without Young who else is going to meet the requirement that OSU must have a player with a hideous back tattoo on the court at all times
